Quoted in the Star saying ' he's technically very good coming from Manchester United as a kid, he's had a great schooling there as you'd expect'

Is he taking the piss ..f in daddy's boy !!!

Where would John Cofie or Michael Twiss be now had they never had that wonderful start to their careers?

If there were enough hours in the day I'd list the number of mega successes.
Why can't people give credit where it's due.
As Pinchy would say...Only....

As Pinchy would say...Only....

.....you can make all this world seem right
Only you can make the darkness bright
Only you and you alone can thrill me like you do
And fill my heart with love for only you
Only you can make all this change in me
For it's true, you are my destiny
When you hold my hand I understand the magic that you do
You're my dream come true, my one and only you
Only you…

Yeah that's right Whitman's technical skills are all down to Manure

Steve Evans, Darren Ferguson, this poor kids going to think all managers are gobshites.

Given that for years they have had the cream of the crop, in terms of talented youngsters from not just here but across Europe, it would be a source of big debate if they didn't produce lots of successes. As for why Whiteman didn't quite make it there, question of numbers, they have so many top quality kids they can afford to be ruthless and not give them time that other academies probably would.

Agree totally.

By the same token then, the 26 goals John Marquis scored last season for Donny has got fuck all to do with Ferguson or his coaching staff at Donny - it's all to do with the 7 years he spend initially with.............Millwall.

Things like this works both ways - I very much doubt CW would be so tactless.

UTB

Dunno, didn't he say when he signed DCL on loan 'he's from a proper club, not like those pigs or those Oxford twats, if the Blades ever offer me a job I'd drop you Northampton lot like a hot turd'?

No, I think that is bang on the money.

Look at David Brooks coming from Man City for example.

Is SBT ok? 4/5 replys and not one fuckin, cunt, twat, gobshite, ballsack etc. Has an alien taken him over? I demand a poll, where is SBT?

The reason he's now on loan at Doncaster Rovers has absolutely sweet fuck all to do with Manchester United but everything to do with Sheffield United . They rejected him . We didn't . We've taken raw potential and created a professional footballer . Thats why they nicked our head of the Academy .

Same goes for Brookes .

To say we arent responsible is mischief making at best or a complete inability to see or concede that our Academy is actually very good .

Loads of our lads were cast offs from the Manchester clubs at a young age, Jags and Tonge were just two that spring to mind.

The point is more along the lines of he can't help sucking up to Man U at any opportunity. He's taken a player on loan from us but can't resist at5e licking his old man's club. I actually think he's deluded enough to think he may have a chance of getting the managers job there sometime.

However I have to admit I'm biased as his brother is a bit of a @@@@ too. Played against him once in a works game and he thought he was the dogs and we had a bit of afters !

Got the arse since he lost the gig in Benidorm............

He's right.

It takes nothing away from what our coaches have done for him and we have undoubtedly developed him further, as has Steve Evans. But he was schooled at Man Utd and that will have been a very good start for him to work alongside some fantastic coaches.

More and more young players drop out of these elite academies nowadays and thankfully we are starting to pick them up as you could unearth some really good players.

Darren Ferguson is where he is because of his family heritage and because his pop has pulled a lot of strings for him, He will probably start Ben in goal until his dad has a word puts him straight.

The blades have as many homegrown players in the prem as manure have. Maguire, walker, DCL, naughton, Jags (ish) Man U and the other top clubs have ruined more talent than they've developed.

The bigger clubs like Man U sweep up large numbers and then discarded most of them. Our Academy work with a smaller number of lads and so the numbers released are smaller. We also persevere and develop our talent. The % of our scholars who find a niche in football is way higher than others. I know as a parent who I would trust with my child.

That's not true....

Off the top of my head: Michael Keane, Marcus Rashford, Paul Pogba, Danny Welbeck, Josh King, Danny Simpson, Tom Heaton, Johnny Evans, Ryan Shawcross and Danny Drinkwater all graduated from Man Utd's academy. I bet there's loads I've missed.

Our academy is very impressive, but let's not kid ourselves and pretend we are as prolific as Man Utd's academy.
