The one bad season being when his team got us into a play-off spot?

Hmm, whatever the football, and yes it was dire, many managers would give their right arms to have two seasons like those just gone

That would cause a real problem. It would be very difficult to fold just one arm, wouldn't it?

Never go back. Wilson has an extremely poor record in management, no need to turn up before half time as his teams never had a shot and his ultra-cautious demeanor cost us by not easing the young players in earlier in the season.

Said it before, offer Rob Jones at Donnie a two year player-manager position.

Certainly: Mr Jones, would you like a two year player-manager position at Donnie?

With the help of those third division,as opposed to second division, defenders.

Its a fair point. Despite his incredible goal scoring exploits, when it came to the better teams in the league, he struggled to find the net. Scored once against the pigs and none against hudds or Charlton. This could be argued regarding service in those games etc, but just a thought. I thought he was going to tear the pigs apart at the sty, but can only think of a ridiculous left foot half volley from 30 yards that sailed wide.

I agree Swiss, except the question needs tweaking a bit and should have been asked a few weeks ago.

'Just a thought, but as there are no realistic stand out candidates for the managers position, should we .............................be getting rid at all?'

Afterthought - same question might have been asked a few years ago when Warnock went to be replaced by the buffoon.

I get the feeling McCabe saw what happened to Wendy last year and thought - "yeah that might work for us"- enough said!
That was exactly my thoughts - Huddersfield too with Lee Clark. 2 examples of at the time seemingly 'knee-jerk' managerial decisions in this league which ultimately paid dividends and got the teams up.

The problem, (yet again) was McCabe's choice of replacement. Morgan may or may not become a decent manager, but 5 games to go in his first real managerial role, was simply hoping for a miracle. The Pigs and Huddersfield chose replacements with experience. We chose the cheap option.

or the fact Jones and Grayson had 3 months to sort it not 3 weeks.
