Danny has own promotion from the Northern Evo Stik premier league with Salford City. Famously owned by
Gary Neville and Nicky Butt I think.

He's only 33. I'm guessing his career never really got going. I've had a look at his Wikipedia page and he only scored 20 goals for us, thought he scored more than that. Decent player for us who caused loads of problems the year we went up and who can forget his debut at Leeds and the goal at Cardiff.

Who can forget him hitting the post v Wigan? I was right behind the post he hit. Still puts a downer on my mood thinking about it now.
It does feel like he scored more than 20 for us though.

It's more than those two, Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville are involved and they all have 10% each.

Although they're called Salford City and the ground is in Salford, it's right on the edge of Prestwich and by Manchester standards in a very nice area. The ground is small and if they have ambition, which it looks as though they do, they'll have to relocate, there's no room to for expansion.

The trick is to remember the good times. Saying that, I'm struggling to remember any good times when Nyron Nosworthy is mentioned.

His opener against L**ds in the 4-0 win at Bellend Road seems to have gone off the internet.

Is this the game we were right at the top of the stand so the players looked like ants. And we had to walk up a million stairs to get there. Thought I was having a heart attack!

Thinking of Danny Webber made me a little sad but the thought of Nosworthy has now made me angry. Thanks. I'm going to have to go for a walk now to calm down. :-)

He scored 26 goals for us in total.

23 in the league, 1 in the FA Cup and 2 in the League Cup.

The only players to score more for us since Webber are Beattie, Cresswell and Evans.

I have never been to their ground but I know Newcastle like to put the away fans up on the roof.

That's why he was called Super Danny Webber. :)

**puts his bladey blade hat on***

Only 33, he could still do a job for us.

When he played for us, he was about 25. I'm surprised he's slipped down the leagues quite so quickly, 33 may be old for the Prem, but I would have thought he could be doing better than the Evo Stik league, that won't fund a lavish lifestyle.

Injuries, I think. Didn't he do his cruciate?

Can't watch footage of that season without being reminded of how shit that shirt was.

Why was the back all red and why were they so big and baggy?

Doesnt even look like Sheffield United. Fucking horrendous.

It was in preparation for our 125th Anniversary Celebrations ........

As I recall, the season we went up Kabba was doing well in the first half and Webber in the second. Both sort of fizzled after us.

Super Dan was the name on Jack's first united shirt. Jack loved him and I bet if I asked him now who his favourite ever United player is, he'd say Danny Webber.

Kabba fizzled out when he got too big for his boots metaphorically not literally before someone cracks the obvious joke!

I actually think it was almost literally.

He seemed to come back from all his injuries with his legs the size of matchsticks. They'd almost disappeared, along with the vast majority of his talent. Shame.

That's a bit harsh on Kabba, he was excellent for the first half of the promotion season - which was after his injuries. Deffo lost his head after that interview v Leeds though.

Looks like Webber has retired. He was part of some good times certainly on the way to the Premier League.

Good luck to him.

They could do a Totenham and buy every bugger out who stands in their way. With owners like theirs it would be MNO

I don't know why they didn't get Stockport instead. They could do with owners like them. They've just taken over a club whose supporters were probably happy being a non league club and are slowly forcing them closer to the corporate crap of the EFL. I'm sure a lot of their supporters deliberately avoided supporting a league club because they don't want to be a part of it.
