Ok, an attempt to appear 'serious' for you then.

Reading were a L1 team under embargo and he had to coach the oplayers he had. He manged to move them up the table to near the playoffs, so fair enough, but it is nothing like taking on a high achieving Championship squad, fine tuning it, and getting more out of it.

Hull started well (0-3 at the Lane for instance), but the players soon ran out of steam, and they only stayed up in the end on the last day, due to others failings. A small achievement, yes, but hardly the mark of a master coach.

Neither of the above, suggest to me that he should have been the only candidate for a Championship club on parachute payments, expecting promotion this season.

The clueless bit comes from his substitutions here. They have been abysmal, and not have improved our position in any of the four games.

Charlatan? Well he talks a good game about high press and 'total confusion', but the only confusion I see, is with our players. When people like Peck, Burrows and Hamer have gone massively backwards, questions need to be asked. I don't buy the 'only want to play for Wilder' line, I just think they are completely bemused about what they are supposed to be doing.

Please feel free to suggest alternative adjectives.....
Thanks for making an attempt at a “serious” response.

Apart from charlatan being a noun rather than an adjective, I’ll decline your kind invitation to suggest alternatives, thanks. That’s because not many things ever benefit from chucking out trite, badly thought out soundbites. We’ll just let it sit there and let others make their mind up whether or not you’ve displayed hypocrisy. Is publicly calling someone a clueless charlatan so different to booing a badly performing player?

Thanks for the English lesson, that must have made you very happy. Dinno Comp weren't big on grammar, but I do mi best.

'Trite badly thought soundbites' - another lesson then. Thanks, I'll either change my posting style, kill myself, or just ignore you, as a pompous arse.

I don't think I've shown hypocrisy. I called out the 'clueless charlatan' before the first friendly, but I haven't booed him. I don't boo players (Curran pig excepted), but I'm still happy to comment on here when they've been shit.

Be careful getting off your horse, it's obviously a very long way down.

Can't disagree with that. If not RND, then someone else will cop it. What the Kop did to George Long, he was a kid at the time, was probably the worst example I can recall. It was vile whilst there and even worse in the safe space in the ether for keyboard warriors.

They have to have someone to project their life anger onto and footballers are an easy target.
Bully boys love to have someone to pick on and use as a scapegoat. As you say it was particularly bad for George Long and I can see the same happening to Tom Cannon - it already is on a small scale. He's only a young bloke and although he's not really shown it for us yet, he must have talent otherwise he wouldn't have got this far in the professional game.

I've never booed one our own players. I have occasionally booed opposition players and refereeing decisions and didn't think much of Tony McMahon but I would have never booed him.

As for Danny Hall - I enjoyed his Dave Bassett book but as for recent stuff, not living in S Yorks, I know very little.

The fact remains that The Star website is awful & full of pop ups and ads. You’d think they spend their time fixing that rather than moaning about accounts that are in a fashion promoting his journalism
I’m fairly sure it’s not the reporters who code the website. So I’m not sure you can put it on them

It is shit though

You sound a bit rattled, chuck 😂

Selles literally said the decisions were different for each player while sat in the same room as him 🤣🤣

Yep, once the personal insults start, debate well & truly lost and definitely rattled 😂

One man's personal insults, is another's humourous jibe.

You do realise that the Cambridge Debating Society is currently closed for summer jaunts, don't you?
