Seems slightly dubious as he was playing for them pre-season.

How many of the players we have let go were playing for us?

Might be the usual rumours.

Not signed the lad yet!

NI international....just has to be league one level.

Seems he might be.

BLADES TO SIGN LAFFERTY

Sky sources: Sheffield United are to sign Burnley defender Daniel Lafferty on loan until the end of the season.

The 27-year-old Northern Irishman was on loan at Oldham last season.

Can't say I know anything about him if i'm honest. Suppose it would be indicative of hussy's start to the season, that we are after another LB

International left back from a premiership club.. Let's moan about this one too
He's only played 1 game in the premiership but for clueless fans like myself who go running straight to Wikipedia, it is hard not to be upbeat if this one comes off.

He's still got the number 3 shirt at Burnley. He must be brilliant.

He can't be any worse than Hussey and we don't have anyone else that can play there.

IMO I reckon it'll be a decent signing if it comes off.

Just wish we could get a decent midfielder in.

Would that be two then if he signs ?

We have sold players....and basically so far brought in two on loan if this happens.

My preference would be loans to be in the mould of Chapman....young, highly rated talent from the Higher echelons of the game. So far, these seem to be signings to fill a gap. Hints that Wilder may well have missed his preferred targets and is filling in with what he can for the time being.

Now I'm not saying these players are crap, will be shit or whatever. Just seems they aren't even plan t....never mind plan b.

Great signing. Very decisive move by Wilder, realising Hussey may not be good enough and bringing in a replacement/competition. Very happy with it.

I think we are now just a central midfielder short of a good side.

year long loan from Burnley.

Can I also have the confirmed next to my thread please Foxy

He did sign Hussey though... and said in him and Brayford we had the best full backs in the league. Funny how that's gone.

At least that means we won't have to suffer Hussey's defending all season.

Hopefully he's good going forward too.
