Never really classed himself as a footballer . Under delivered at Spurs . David Bentley found his level running a restaurant . Restaurant in Brentford .

What do we need him for! We have
George who is a great prospect and
two other young keepers ( one an under 18 international).if we were in premier league with a England under 18 goalie,would we not expect him to be good enough for league 1, out on loan?.of course we would! so I don't see any reason he can't put George
under pressure this season
The money will be useful to bring in a player in an area where we are short.
If we don't give Ramsdale opportunity, premiership clubs will
pinch him, he is some goalie.

He is a notable up and coming keeper in this country and I also wanted us to sign him, but no way would we have payed whatever transfer fee Southend would have commanded for him - especially on a GK despite us needing one!

would he be worth a punt ? Brentford looking at Blackburn keeper . Cost a lot of money when he went to Brentford but seems to have stagnated a bit !
We could try a bulk buy with Canos and Maupay ?? Also our other Brentford ‘rejects’ have turned out quite well and might help persuade them !! Not sure how long he has left on his contract but is certainly a decent age and am sure our management team could improve him !!

Every time I’ve seen him play (albeit the odd match on sky) he seems to cock up somehow. Not for me, seems to love a camera save and when we beat them on the opening day the other season I lost count of how many times he either passed ball out to us or put it straight out of play.
