Wilder shouldn’t have fucked around with the team at Southampton. Six dropped points these last two games probably costs us £30m through staying in the Championship next season. In that context, a £2m loan for half a season (Rothwell or Neil or anyone) doesn’t make sense.

Neil will be a permanent deal... for Rangers.

Can't blame him, we don't look too attractive at the moment.

Hopefully we get Rothwell but not sure he's necessarily the right profile for us.

It’s a shame this hasn’t happened. I’m a massive fan of Steely Dan. I’d have loved Sinclair to have belted a few classics.

i think neil going to rangers opens the door for rothwell to come to us slightly disagree with you captain on this one i think rothwell would be ideal for us i rate him very intellegent midfielder

Wages? And who does he replace Jairo? Peck? Blaster? Davies? For me if we are going for a big wage loan it would be a striker as we've only got one of those fit for purpose at present and hes now suspended !

Yes, we should get another midfielder because all of them will need to be cycled every couple of games and given full games off. You’d think that position will be the case for at least another 2-3 months.

We always fuck about with transfers, we’ve clearly been interested and he’s apparently Wilders top target this window. Hes out of picture at Sunderland and even with a lot of players away at AFCON he’s not even been getting a look in. I’m not that fussed about him personally but it will say a lot if Ipswich come in and get it wrapped up in 48 hours.

The player may well want to wait and see what opportunities come his way towards the end of the window.

I think the issue is more what we did in the first 6 games of the season. Anything that is not relegation this season is an achievement considering our start.

Unless we’re looking to sign him permanently I’m not sure why we are after him. We have Peck, Arblaster, Davies & Jairo & Soumare.

Bob i agree we could do with another CM but Wilder says we are in for 2 players and I think another striker is more urgent as all we've got is Bamford. At the minute we have 5 serviceable CMs for 2 spots and 1 serviceable CF for 1 or 2 spots
