Because they have no idea how quickly we rose from shite to Premier League success. It’s totally unsustainable to do that without serious money to back it up. This squad doesn’t contain a single player with proven top flight experience in any major league in Europe, save for last year’s overachievement. You can’t build that squad overnight. Wilder was trying, it’s just a shame this year’s drop off was so huge that it all came crashing down.

Wilder's achievements are undoubted but you're only as good as your last game, not taking Chesterfield to the cleaners, beating Wednesday 4-2, tearing through Chelsea or any other of the great memories. Our last game and the one before it were appalling with many of the others not being too far behind.

Dessert is the bit of the meal you remember and we've been left with a pretty sour taste. The performances from Wilder's team over the past year have been poor to say the least and more than anything, the way this whole debacle has been handled sucks.

I can see it from both sides but based purely on results and the return on the investment signings wise, we've fallen embarrassingly short and Wilder perhaps ought to have gone 10 games ago or been able to see the whole thing through.

Because you might understand why we might not be a premier league team right now. I dont think we ever were really. And thats ok, because we are back to being contenders and can keep trying to grow.

You come from a POV that we are a fallen premier league team. Just isnt true.
