Would a new Contract offer for Chris and his management team be amiss? Given that United have given new and improved contracts recently to essential and deserving players, why not the same treatment for the 3 most influential members of our club?
Hardly a managerial vacancy is announced of late without our Chris being mentioned as a great candidate. That doesn't seem so different to giving Brooks & co better contracts to ward off the would-be predators.
If anything that could railroad our best ever team in my lifetime, it could be the loss of any one of the 3 management team. I'm not sure that Chris & co would be interested in moving for mega money offers, but it would be well worth giving them extra for what they have already done and what they are likely to do going forward. If we consider how little it has cost in his player purchases compared with others in the same job, any increase in cost that their salary increases could still be a total saving to the club in continued excellent value for money bargain buys.
Is it time for the supporters to back their case in a similar way that players were supported?
