As worried as the next man listening to that interview. Be interesting to see his reaction at FT at Bristol, seemed incredibly emotional at the end today.

I'm very worried , got a strange feeling he may walk after the game next week unless something is sorted quick.

I would be amazed if Wilder walked next week or the week after that. Today was just his big public warning to the 2 owners to get it sorted or else. It could still be several weeks away from being resolved properly but at least now the whole fanbase understands his position, and the owners now know that we do.

The pressure is on them to act and them only. I doubt either wants to risk losing our best manager in decades before subsequently inherriting a newly aliented fanbase.

Chris on the other hand now has time to assess and consider his options, which I am sure he will take, before heading for the door, if that is what he decides.

Wilder wants to stay at SU and gain promotion, so why would he leave?

I’ve said many times that Wilder and Knill enjoy living in the city and wish to remain living here.
When he leaves SU he wants it to be with his head held high, so he will always be welcome back and can feel pride to show his face in the city. He basically said the same tonight.

He’s done the right thing. Wilder knows he holds considerable good will and power amongst the fan base.
He’s publicly put his cards on the table and he’s put the ball firmly in the owners court.
Over to you Mr Chaiman?

Basically KMac and Princie are way apart on the valuation of the (now-competitive Championship) club and Kev won't or can't afford to return the Prince's investment and meet his valuation to retain sole control. The way to settle it quick would be Kev to sell to the Prince on HRH's terms. But what if Kev doesn't think the Prince has the funds to take us to the next level, or if he thinks the Prince might think "taking us to the next level" means a new stadium or a change of identity?

It appears that McCabe doesn't now see the Prince as sole owner as being in the best interests of SUFC but if he can't afford to regain full control he needs to find investment quick. The kind of investor who will not want a big say in the future branding / commercial side of the club will be very hard to find. Plus, potential investors will be aware of the value of a huge plot of land on the edge of the city center (in terms of housing).

Wilder seemed pissed off in that interview but I'm sure he knows the score. There's a stalemate in the boardroom at the moment but I actually trust Kev in doing what he thinks best for the club. I'm sure Wilder knows this too. He's just got a bit mardy cos as it stands we will have fuck all to spend this summer unless we sell Brooks. This might happen but I doubt CW will walk, not this summer at least.

Saying that, history has shown that even the most devoted Blade, be it player or manager, will move to another club for more money. Wilder will know what the salary difference will be between us and, say, West Brom or Middlesboro in the PL.
