People trying to stir up trouble and suggest that Nigel has it in for Diego should cut the crap.

We all know with Cloughie, if you are good enough, work hard and consistently enough and show the right attitude, there is no age barrier.

Che, Reed, Kennedy etc have proved it here. Hughes, Hendrick, Bennett etc at Derby.

As he didn't sign the new contract, I most likely would not have put him within 5 miles of the team.

Nigel has been more than fair.

First, I was surprised Diego was included.

Second, it is really about the fans that say Clough bullies people, has it in for certain types etc. This should be put to bed. Nigel has people like Brayford, Freeman, Coutts and Davies that would follow him, even into a lower league. That doesn't jive with the bullying manager reports.

I agree, the bullying rumours are bullshit, but on the flip side of the coin Diego may or may not have done anything wrong. What is correct is that Diego hasn't signed a contract YET,i say yet because if Cloughy keeps giving him a sniff of the action he may see a change of heart and accept a renewed offer or sign the same one.I think this would be great for all parties if this was the case,i'm still optimistic on this one and so must Clough be to name him on the bench,a good bit of managing that is.

My thoughts exactly!

Do you know any Derby fans?

He's off to Celtic anyway. All to be announced soon. We made him three offers but never say down with him. Expecting 400k from tribunal

Ooh another Diego thread. Poor wee lad didn't get a fair chance so he is off. Could be Celtic, could be Juve, could be Sunderland. Only York have officially registered an interest however.
