They will be wasting the next few months with meaningless u21 matches against weak

I was surprised that only 1 (Baptiste) went out on loan after Selles' comments about how some youngsters would be sent back to U23's, others out on loan and some staying around the first team (I think it was the Middlesbrough press conference).

Obviously, Blacker went out on loan to Tranmere before that and Evan Easton went somewhere in the National League, but I don't think Easton has trained with the first team this summer.

Looks like Faxon is being kept around as 2nd/3rd choice GK, but I would have liked him to go out on loan, maybe something to consider in January.

I thought Ukaki, Marsh and Oné would have definitely gone out on loan though, and all three would have had plenty of admirers after preseason.

He mentioned 29 players in the press conference, assuming those 2 additional players are Marsh and Ukaki.

Also mentioned that 29 players is too many and that some will be departing in January, I assume both permanent and loan.

I think it’s nailed on that Bindon & Barry both get sent back in Jan, neither are good enough for the level and don’t strike me as Wilder type players, especially Barry.

On the fence about Soumare. He doesn’t fit the Wilder type of player but I wouldn’t rule out a Souza style renovation job. He seems like quite a spikey player which Wilder might enjoy.

Hopefully we can send some of the loans back? Bindon in particular wont play given the CB signings we made and if we need a youngster to fill in if we have injuries and suspensions it might as well be our own Zatterstrom as a Forest player who doesn't look good enough.

Ive got big hopes for Soumare but now we've signed Matos i cant see him playing when the squad is fully fit and again he isn't our player. One needs games but we r short up front so I cant see him going unless we bring in another forward.

Soumare is the biggest unknown in the squad, as we haven't seen a lot of him since Selles didn't often play him.
