Whilst this is a huge derby for Leeds, to us it ranks alongside Forrest and Derby. Yes it’s a big match, but not on the scale of playing the pigs.

I've always seen Leeds as a big match but to me there is only one Derby. 27345
Same here Leeds is a big match ,who ever they play , we may not like it , but it is a fact ,in the early seventies Leeds used to bring coach loads from all over the country , many of those have stayed with them , easily the top supported Yorkshire side and if ever a team was a sleeping giant , it is Leeds , now lets just thrash em .

I dont know why we dont give them seats on the upper tier. The corner could still be for home fans and then a) 2000 extra tickets would be sold b) there'd be a much better atmosphere c) blades fan affected would fill up the other areas of the ground and d) we'd make more money and the whole experience would be better

Shame we arent selling out games like this but the option of sky, the fact that its Christmas and we've a total of 4 home games this month will mean people will pick and choose. The WBA game will be a 'low' attendance than if it was sat afternoon in a different month

It will be nearer our lowest attendance than our highest.

25619.

Looking at ticket sales the crowd will be the lowest of the season. 24k at a push.

The "precautions" put in place to avert trouble will have the reverse effect. They will only succeed in creating an atmosphere of hostility rather than calming things down. Maybe this is the intention.

but at least their myth that 'Wednesday would have got more' has been demolished by their pitiful crowd v Bolton.

Wednesday only played Leeds a few weeks ago and that wa also on Sky but played on a Friday night.

The official attendance was 26,717.

22,100 SW fans and 4,600 LU fans.

The few Leeds fans I've known down the years have all been the same - violent, drunken psychopaths. That's the attraction of 'supporting' Leeds, they're like flies round a cow's arsehole.

I'm missing it unfortunately. Having a long weekend in Barcelona which I booked earlier on this year. Behind Wednesday, it's the one game I wouldn't want to miss, so you can imagine my joy when the fixtures were released. Suppose I'll be seeing Messi and co Sunday night, but he's just a poor man's Mark Duffy.

Trains should be fun from Leeds tomorrow. Only the cross country every hour to Sheffield direct, due to the strike. It's usually rammed on those without the Leeds fans.

Anywhere do a decent breakfast if decide to get on the earlier train?

Leeds ain’t the draw it used to be I’m afraid. People only seem to come out for the Pigs game. Leeds is always at a daft time and SY Police go into meltdown, it’s just simply too much hassle, especially when it’s on the box too. I would wager that the Rotherham game will have more fans there than the Leeds game.

Virtually all our matches at the moment are on Sky or Sky red button. Bound to affect attendances - which all things considered have been decent. The club should be providing free or reduced price transport to Reading next Sat given it’s a 5.30 ko on Sky.

Take it you weren’t on the forum in the weeks leading up the the game
Maybe not but I couldn't see a mere 500 points being a problem for masses of fans and given that the attendance was so poor I'm sure those few fans could've got tickets through friends/family who may have not attended.

25 k for Leeds at home while we’re top of the league is pretty poor.
We can make as many excuses as we like but it’s shocking should be 29/30k otherwise just give Leeds/villa etc the top tear

It's not that simple. Imagine somebody deciding to go on the day. 'I'll drop the wife and kids in town to do some Christmas shopping while I go to the match.' So I somehow managed to get down Bramall Lane and was at the South Stand turnstiles with my hard-earned readies.
'Sorry sir. You'll have to go round to the ticket office and come back with a ticket. The queue shouldn't be too long.'
Finally getting to the front desk, 'Are you on our database?' How many loyalty points do you have..?' Somehow getting past all this 'Yes sir, we'll be delighted to take your money. One ticket for the South Stand? That'll be £37. Oh, and you've just missed the kick-off. And I hope you're not thinking of leaving via Bramall Lane after the match?'

Too much trouble. Too much money.
