I have a feeling it will be a little lower than we might usually expect, with the early kick off and it being on Sky TV. 27,396 I say.

26,335. Anyone care to take over my mantle of giving out money for the correct guess?

26825 watching but 26826 actually registered as 1 x person tripped over the white edges to the steps. He was colour blind and thought the edges should be yellow!

More than the swines got against notlob haha shouldn't be too hard. I'll guess at 28762

SYP 500 points imposition, 12.30 ko and on Sky will reduce numbers 26,103

When I looked at the stadium plan a couple of days ago there were loads left.

I reckon it may only be 26k ish.

Only 2,200 Leeds fans when they could have brought over 5000.
Ticket sales so far don’t look anything special, just slightly above average, certainly no where near 30K.

Should be similar but probably slightly more than the Aston Villa which had 26,030.

Last years Bramall Lane fixture was also on Sky and attracted a gate of 27,553.
My prediction this year is a slightly dissapointing 26,512

As several have mentioned, ticket sales look really poor. There are still tickets available in the South Stand which is a real indicator, as the South invariably sells out even for the fixtures against unattractive opposition.

Kick-off time, ticket sale restrictions and prices don't help but the main factor is, of course, television. Live TV coverage seems to have a more pronounced effect on attendances at the Sheffield grounds than in other areas of the country. The casual supporters in Sheffield seemingly need little excuse to stay away, and would much rather sit at home or in the pub.

There's also the small matter of Christmas being just around the corner, and a lot of people will be saving their pennies to buy their kids their pressies.

Undoubtedly though, the match being on the box is the biggest reason why a lot of casual fans won't be there. You could argue that the club's involved are getting another payment from sky each for televising the game, so they have already had the money, and inconvenienced the fans. Cake and eat it...

Put the fixture on at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon, no sky tv, and it would have been a sell out.

A wake-up call for football. Whether it's watching it at home/in the pub, weather, other pulls on people's finances etc. crowds will continue to decline. Then we've got the ridiculous hoops some fans must go to in order to simply attend a match, police threats about anybody 'stepping out of line' etc. and going to football is becoming less attractive. If you watch it in the local you'll be in the warm, with your mates, no travel costs and it'll cost £10-£15 compared to £30-odd for a ticket.
No running the gauntlet of Leeds fans, 'hate wall', snarling police dogs or constant surveillance. I'll be going, but can understand those who don't.

If this Leeds game was scheduled for a Friday night, you'd expect the crowd to take a hit. But tomorrow couldn't be more attractive. Not far for away fans to travel, early KO meaning most fans will have the rest of the day free and a chance to go into town after - shopping, Christmas market etc. Football has taken fans for granted for too long.

There'll still be 26k+ tomorrow, but at least their myth that 'Wednesday would have got more' has been demolished by their pitiful crowd v Bolton.

That cat thinks he’s so hard, but he’s basically a pussy.

Including 1688 twats that wander in late and leave early regardless of the match situation.

I'd put it at considerably more than 1,688, west_yorks. More like 4,000. Around where I sit, all it takes is a stoppage in play to occur some time after the 85 minute mark, and that's the cue for hundreds to get up and start heading for the exits. It's almost as if there is a race to make sure that nobody gets out before them. Peculiar.
