If Villa have sold out i reckon around 28/29 thousand , what with it being on Sky and all that.

26,300 game is Category A* and on Sky that will affect the attendance.

I think a lot of fans bought tickers prior to the late sky announcement only a week ago, still bound to affect sales in the last week

Current sales are definitely LESS than normal.

Our current average is 26,966.
So even with Villa selling out their 2,200 allocation my guess for this game is 25,642.

I’ve seen some SUFC unofficial social media accounts saying it’s close to a sell out, but I don’t know there sources

Look on the official ticketing site (https://www.sufc.talent-sport.co.uk) and there’s loads of tickets still available in the BLUT.
Still quite a few left in the Westfield Corner and that normal sells out.
South stand not sold out yet when it normally does sell out.
And there’s hardly any tickets been sold on gangway G for the Kop.

As I said ticket sales at the moment are a bit LESS than normal.
Maybe there’s loads waiting to buy their tickets tomorrow.

It’s a shame we’re only giving Villla 2,200
Whereas at Hillsboro Wednesday are giving them 4,400 tickets and they expect to sell them all.
They are being charged £37 but Villa have agreed to subsidise it so their fans pay £30.

Edit

It’s 4,200 tickets Villa have been given for Hillsboro
And the price for them is £39 but their club has agreed to pay £9, so each Villa fan only pays £30.

I'm only bothered about the 11 Blades on the pitch. Huge game this.

Do they count in the attendance?

Lower than normal confirmed by ticket office.

Yup agreed, between 27,000 and 28,000 ,good number following on from cup game and being on sky tv in middle of winter and on a Tuesday
Fair play to villa for their following.

Got mine and Ken Jnrs tickets after the announcement of the game being live on Sky.

Fucking HARD CORE, me

Looks like plenty of tickets left, tickets too expensive when live on Sky so 26500, shame as its one of the biggest games of the season. I agree with others, when announced it was on Sky should have given Villa another 2000 in upper tear

Why would we want to give Villa such a large vocal following. The sky money subsidises any "lost" income from fans not turning up.

They'll be enough Blades there to make a noise, if we want to.

What ever happened to the versatile seating arrangement in the BLUT?

I remember when we played Liverpool, our first match in the PL. We gave them an extra 1,500 in the upper tier.
McCabe said the inner doors on the BLUT concourse can be shut off for segregation, meaning we can give away teams almost whatever figure we want.

Not sure why we don’t split the BLUT in half for some matches, with a load of netting in the middle.
Don’t see anything wrong with giving away fans an extra 1,300 seats in the upper tier taking the total allocation to 3,500.
We currently only allow 2,200 away fans and half the clubs in this league could sell more.

We've had away fans in BLUT with our fans in Westfield Corner before haven't we?

If there were also Blades in BLUT there's no reason they couldn't enter/exit at the Westfield Corner end for segregation purposes.

This is what we should do next season. The end two blocks on BLUT towards John St should be spare for large away followings (taking the maximum allocation towards 4,000) with 1 or 2 blocks segregation and our fans taking the rest.

23,406 but announced as 26,728 due to non-attending ST holders.
