Can I please just add my comments from yesterday.
I struggle to get to many games, exiled in Hitchin and working for the prison service where at the moment our customers are prone to the odd riot or two.
Anyway over the years there have been a few champagne moments amongst the endless disappointments.
Even with a faltering memory I will never forget driving south after the 5-1 in Leicester and seeing loads of Luton fans celebrating too.
More recent performances against Tottenham,QPR and Fulham can be savoured to.
But
Yesterday I personally in 35 of years of watching United I have never seen our team play like that.
At times and in patches the football was sublime.
We passed to each other, a lot ! And the running and movement was fantastic.
But the most important thing was the desire, they were so committed, at 3-1 they carried on surging forward at 4-1 the same. CW made attacking substitutions when he didn't need to. Roy Of The Rovers stuff.
And make no mistake Southend were no bad side, they had phases in this game where they were pretty decent.
Our bench had 5 attacking players on it that all offer different qualities.
Those 5 along with Wright and Ramsdale just can't get into this side, what a great position to be in.
Our under 23 and 18 teams keep beating teams from higher divisions, and there's Brooks and Semple and Wright and.....
Ok enough
Happy times
But maybe others that went yesterday saw it differently as the only downer on the day was standing right behind the goal and finding that the crossbar made the viewing experience challenging!

Customers?
No wonder they're rioting ;)

Good post...Wilder has got them playing some of the best football since...well, ever...as far as I can remember...

UTB!

Top man.....I agree.

And best of luck with the prisons BTW.....I feel for you and your colleagues having to deal with that scum while also having to deal with the bigger scum in the form of the government and its policies. Anyway...that's for another forum....Champagne football....from the blades....surely not! Hoof, and run is the Blades way surely.!

It was unrestricted seating, so you could have moved ;)

Like your post btw :)

What a great post (if not crossbar!). You haven't been on any of the substances allegedly available in HMP have you? Only kidding - your views complement perfectly this week's View from... Roll on Saturday.
