As its about todays game I have put it here.

Have to say credit must go to Torquay United and their fans. During the warm up when the Gary Speed tribute was on the big screen all the Torquay squad stopped warming up to watch and the fans all watched it. They also sang his name before the game. Then to top it of the manager rushed out to stop the ref booking ched when he lifted his shirt. Credit to the ref as well.

Thought the Torquay were very good today. They even cheered when the got a throw in. Thats what you call support not like some of the moaners we've got.

Have to agree. Thought they were loud and proud compared to the home crowd which apart from the tributes to Speed we were awful, but that is probably due to the abject performance we had to endure particularly in the first half.

Well done to the fans and the club on the tributes. As for the club - for God's sake get some new players.

Both F A Cup games we have been lacking in the crowd dept. For me its because the Kop is shut. Most songs etc start on there maybe better to shut either of the others but please open the kop as my lad wants to sit there next time

Do you think they don't have moaners? Or any other club doesn't have moaners? I could have chinned the bloke behind me today, but I'm under no illusion that it's not the same the world over.

I agree - for the GCB hardly anyone stood in the John Street stand whereas most of the Kop usually stand.

I must say it was a strange atmosphere today. A bit like a very well attended funeral. I wasn't surprised at the lack of atmosphere, it just didn't seem appropriate. The first half performance kept with the theme, but I must say that the second half turned things round.
