I think your other point is fair. I’m all for building on the best parts of Wilder’s legacy and I reckon you’re right that Hecky is doing that.

Mentioned briefly that MGW had been on his radar when he was talking about our squad in the prematch press conference. He also said it had always been intended Ndiaye would be given a more prominent role this season.

Its worth remembering that few managers are 100% useless just as none are 100% perfect: just people with some strengths and a lot of flaws.

Wilder's bloody minded stubbornness was essential to winning promotion in challenging circumstances but means he can't adapt to changing circumstances (No Plan B). Hecky is prepared to listen to other people and is very open to adapting. But that might be seen as weak or indecisive in some situations.

We all thought Wilder was the Messiah and now he's dogshit. Then Slav was going to be the Messiah but he turned out to be wank.
Now Hecky is the Messiah until some time, maybe about October, when he'll be wank and we'll be calling for his head. But I like the way it's going so far.
