There's little hope for intensity when the only part of the ground with any of that is the back few rows of the stand that goes furthest away from the pitch. The rest of it is locked for the foreseeable future (well, apart from one bit which nobody wants to use).

We could do with South Stand G and H waking up for this final push but in reality the people to do that just aren't there, and they have season ticket seats they have no plans to vacate any time soon. Then the family stand will forever be the family stand, and the BLUT will forever be wasteland.

Expect the square root of fuck all from the John street stand. I’ve been on there twice this season and to say I was bored stiff is an understatement. In fact, the second game I was on there I got 4 pints at half time and watched the second half on the tv in the concourse. It really is dreadful. And as my seat is bang smack centre of the row, I have to upset about a dozen people when I get up. Boo hoo you’re missing 3 seconds of the match and I’ve picked my time to coincide with an opposition goal kick.

I can’t make tomorrow because of work but will have the radio on. Make sure we can hear it boys and girls.

I keep trying. The reality is we’re waiting for safe standing. But Blades do better, it’s one of those grounds.

I’m off to Dortmund in a few weeks again, hoping it will rub off.

SYP removed any support we had in G & H. I remember they blocked the seats off for a while when it got a bit lively. I don’t support aggressive fan behaviour but that is what we want really

I’ve stopped going to games regularly. I went on Monday night and that was the first game I went to since the home derby game in November. Prior to this season I went home and away, probably 30+ games a season.

I’m 35 and have had a season ticket since I was about 12 (including this season). Next year will probably be the first year I won’t renew since I was a kid.

And I feel like this despite us being in a great position as a club, great manager, players, all good.

I love United and I always will do. I’ve done it all, been all over the country, play offs, cup games, the league 1 years, the premier league, never missed anything that I can remember.

One of the reasons for this is how shite the modern game has become.

‘Supporters’ sat down in their seats taking selfies to post on social media, streaming other games whilst at the Lane, constantly checking scores (for betting purposes mainly), betting in play and whatever else they do on phones.

Young chavs all wearing the same pair of Adidas trainers snorting shit coke pretending to be off their nut and posturing behind lines of coppers yet running away when anything actually happens.

Kids being taken to games, encouraged to adore overpaid, under-talented, couldn’t care less, poor role model footballers (not directed at us specifically).

Going to games on Monday nights, Saturday mornings, Sunday dinner time, to suit Sky TV who pump all the unneeded money into the game.

I’ve had some great times watching the Blades, especially when my dad took me as a kid. I’ve been through thick and thin, nobody could ever question my love and loyalty. However, I’m not insane. There comes a point when I have to think “what am I doing?”

I’ll now be spending more time playing football with my kids, rather than taking them to sit and watch.

Apart from all that I’m really happy.

In the vast majority of other nations, you can sup beer out of a plastic cup while watching the game. It's a stupid, outdated rule. You can drink as much as you like, as long as it isn't "in view of the pitch". What kind of bollocks is that? It even applies in the exec boxes ffs
