Would be nice but can't see it myself. I mean yeah we're a far bigger club etc, but why would you leave Wigan as captain and join a League One side and why would they be willing to let their captain and current first teamer leave? I can only think that he's based in South Yorkshire and doesn't want to travel anymore from South Yorkshire to Wigan?
 
Am I missing something here, I know he's getting on a bit but Morgan's played every league game so far for Wigan and is/was their captain?

Still, he did say this when joining Wigan for nowt last season...

Hmm, interesting! I really hope there's something in this, he is exactly what we need, and if it does come off I'd take the captaincy off Billy in a couple of weeks and allow Billy to just concentrate on football.

Its like I said on another thread, looking more and more like a bit of Bullshit from Wilder with the dealings, not trying to get on his back but not everything as been as he said, for one the formation and style of play as been nothing like Pre-season and the need to include both Sharp and Clarke seems to be killings us up front it clear does not work.

Maybe is head inflating since been made Captain, that makes him the figure we see masquerading in his shirt in the last few games, what ever is broken with him and a few of the others, Wilder needs to be fixing it, 1st stop take the captaincy off Billy cos it does not work.

To be fair on the Brian Sewell, look sort of like him but less artic white and much more five head and receding.
 
I hope Wilder comes back down to earth soon and starts looking at realistic targets. How on earth will we sign a player in the league above who has started every game this season?

Reminds me of the deadline day bid for Johnny Russell all those years ago under Wilson.

Ha ha funny assessment Lydon! I'm only guessing its a factor in his poor form but might not be. We've heard rumours that his behaviour hasn't been as it should be at times and as captain you don't really want that. Of course that may well be total crap and we just don't know. I wouldn't have Billy as captain anyway, because I would like a captain to lead from the back and barking out instructions, but of course you don't need to be a captain for that anyway.
