I'd been at the Shoe Market at some God awful hour (Pods £2 though so worth it) and was at Bridge Street bus station to get the bus straight to school.

The Morning Telegraph 'teaser' poster screamed 'Blades sign striker'. I had to buy it of course, imagine my excitement when it was some bloke called Tommy Smith from Bromsgrove for ten grand.

Half an hour bus ride was taken up trying to rub the blue £2 chalk mark of each of the soles whilst disposing of the shame inducing brown paper bag.

A great team goal from when we played positive pass and move football from not long ago.

Beagrie scored a few pearlers. One at home to Hull springs to my mind

David McAllister vs Bristol City...weird game, weird weather, terrible season

Bob Harris scored a decent goal at Bradford in the era when we didn't play with strikers

Doyle scored a screamer at Rochdale when we won 5-2
