I know.....you don't overreact after a few wins....with people thinking we're going to win the league
but equally you dont overact after 2 defeats and 2 poor performances....with people now thinking we'll be mid table.

Exactly changing the whole way we play vs Leeds to sit behind the ball is just telling the players we can't go toe-to-toe with them. Then in his presser saying Boro will keep the ball because they have good players is again just indirectly putting our players down.

We did for 20 minutes.. then Boro made a tactical change in midfield, our tactical response at half time was to retreat into our shell and do absolutely nothing going forward.

CW has done my head the last week in with the negative tactics and lauding of Leeds and Boro. Feels like he is getting his excuses in early for an underachieving season (like he did in the Covid season). That being said, the board clearly prioritised cost cutting over squad building in the summer and he’s been left with a patchy and inconsistent squad.

The last two games has shown that CW is tactically inept. He had been outdone by Carrick and Farke in the way he’s set his teams up and his ability to influence a game.

That’s a bit harsh. He’s tried new stuff and it has just shown up a huge lack of quality or depth in key positions. Running a thin squad with no replacement player for Souza or Moore has hurt us.

It's just a reality check of where we are.

Maybe we could have done better in the last two games with different players and formation but maybe not.

It's hardly a surprise we're struggling for goals. A fair few of us have pointed this out from early doors.

I'm not sure Wilder necessarily deserves that much criticism though just because some fans have been hit with a dose of reality this week.

Despite a good start we're clearly lacking in key areas.

At the start of the season I thoughtba play off spot would be a great finish and I haven't changed my mind.
