And incredibly our record against the sides currently occupying the top 5 places of the division is W2 D2 L1, with 4 of those matches being away from home. Not a bad record by any stretch of the imagination.

I agree it's looking a lot better. 5 of the top 6 still need to come to the Lane as well.

However, those 2 wins are the only wins we have against sides in the top half of the table (2 wins, 4 draws, 4 losses).

Oh how those 4 stupid home defeats have cost us: Bury, Millwall, Scunthorpe, Colchester. If we'd put a foot in like we did today against those sides, we wouldn't have lost all four.

We can still push on though in the second half of the season and hopefully make the top 6.

Looks pretty inconclusive to me. As for the commentator (was it Birtles?) saying it looked over the line, how can he say that? Long's body was obstructing any clear view of the line and the ball.

Also, through my red and white striped spectacles the alleged hand ball looked like a shoulder to me.

There's no great angle but I'd be fairly confident in saying it was definitely in.

I am glad we won, but we were lucky, Long saved us. To be it into perspective our first shot was on the 48th minute and it went 15yards wide, we were poor, The biggest cheer came when Sammom actually headed a ball instead of just backing into the player. all that matters is 3 points
