Looks like it's going to be another "exciting" one at the mostly empty Ricoh...

Due to a gate of 7,500 being expected for Coventry City's home game against Sheffield United on Tuesday night, the 2km parking exclusion zone around the Ricoh Arena, is unlikely to be enforced.

The club, Ricoh Arena, Safety Advisory Group and other agencies involved have said that an update will be made on Monday.

But unless, there is a sudden increase in ticket sales big enough to enforce the exclusion zone restrictions, currently set at 10,000, is likely that there will be no parking restrictions around the stadium other than roads with double yellow lines etc.

Aren't they doing the staying away to starve the owners out thing ?

Has this sold out? I can't see the tickets on the online sales thing, so I'm guessing so...?

So, would one be able to pay on the door??? Into the away end???

It's one of the most annoying grounds to get to; nice and easy off the motorway, then park about 40 minutes away for £8 or something like that.

7500 is very poor; their gates have been dropping steadily since they moved to one of the worst grounds the world has ever seen.

Of course, if they aren't enforcing the parking zone, parking might be a doddle....

Exactly, I hope no-one except me turns up.

By the way, the game is all-ticket for us according to the official site. 15000 empty seats in the stadium and it's all ticket for us! Madness

When we went to a concert there, we parked about a 15 minute walk away in a car park recommended for concerts. You just had to walk through a housing estate to get there. Might find it if you google concert parking at Ricoh

the local paper as reported that they have sold 5800 season tickets and where hoping to make it 6000 by yesterday but I have heard they have failed. See you there.

Hopefully it will be pay on the night, but would like confirmation of this before going.
Official site still saying all ticket for Blades fans
mind you I do struggle with the official site on my iPad.
Would welcome an update if anyone has one.

There as always been a pay on the gate for this fixture during the 30 years that I`ve lived here.

I've got an exam in Dronfield that will finish between 6.30-6.45 tomorrow and I really want to get down but there's no chance without some massive fortune with the traffic (and probably some pretty serious speeding!).

Leaving Highfield Road has absolutely killed Coventry. It was a great ground to visit, so it's a real shame that they decided to leave and move to this monstrosity they built.

Ahhh my local game, just 11 miles up the road from house but as always I'm dreading it. Horrible ground 1/3 full with no atmosphere and rip off prices for parking... Fingers crossed for a win to make it just that little sweeter.

Booked a ticket today on the phone and the girl said it would be pay on the day.

Just got an e-mail reply from the Box Office, there will be a Cash only Turnstile, or you can buy them from our Box Office until 2pm tomorrow.

Just bought my parking, but didn't get any receipt or anything? I assume we just turn up and tell them our names and they will find it on a list?

If you used the link above, thats exactly what we did last month when I went to the Olympic Footy. Personally I'm going to take a chance on finding somehwere on the raod, and use Leisure Ireland as a backup.
