I think it’s fairly likely that they’ll go up though. They’re outperforming the league on a lot of stats and there isn’t a Leeds or Burnley (or competent Blades team) this season to stop them.
First time I've seen them properly this season and I'm surprised how direct they are. No messing about at the back, just give it to the keeper who launches it. Obviously working for them

Hope Cov can beat these Hollywood upstarts tbf

If that’s what they do they’ll get 3+ against us.
We can’t defend direct football for toffee.

Moore got a hatrick playing alongside another striker. This is why good strikers turn bad when we sign them. Wilder needs to be braver if he wants us to move up the table. I bet Cannon will start scoring when he moves on.

This, but also, we don't create anywhere near enough chances. Prime Alan Shearer would struggle to get goals the way we've been set out in the past couple of years.

I knew Moore would get goals elsewhere. Also, like you, strongly suspect Cannon might come good elsewhere.

It's one of the reasons I keep schtum and don't join in on the threads laying into strikers (which seems to happen every time we don't win). I'm not saying they're totally blameless, it's a collective effort, but there have been bigger problems (not least with how we've set out). We need to be more adventurous, certainly need to create more chances, or we really are in big trouble this season.

We are better with one up top
What’s the point in having 2 stood doing nothing
Due to the turgid sliw static shyte we have coming forward

100% and Cannon is another who just doesn't fit to how we play at all he has something -all the historical evidence is there

It’s not direct like that all the time tho
But when they are direct watch the movement off the ball

In fairness, you could see Moore had qualities that made him a potentially very decent championship striker.

As for Cannon, well god knows I tried to defend him, but to score goals you have to actually get into positions where you might score a goal - I appreciate people without their UEFA A licence might struggle with that and it is, pretty advanced thinking even if I say so myself…

I mean, fair play, Frank is doing wonders, 10 points clear, cracking attacking football, theirs to lose at this point.

But, maybe I'm just turning into a grumpy old man, but what an obscene amount of insufferable fans have come out the woodwork... or is it just me?

I don't find it hard to stretch my mind that long ago to a half empty home ground week in, week out.

Stoke, Millwall, even flipping Preston are doing very well and yet I've seen hardly any early promotion parties or gloating from any of their fans.

Like I say, maybe it's just me or the fact they've been irrelevant for the past....?... plenty of seasons. All I know is that another #PUSB is going to give me hemeroids, that could be the age thing again though.

I think the ironic thing is that he was getting far more publicity when he was doing no way near as good a job in prior roles.

He had some amazing loan signings at Derby and despite the cheerleading in the media got fewer points than Rowett the prior year at Derby. Funny, I don’t remember Rowett getting linked to the Chelsea job.

In that one his media mates were keen to mitigate his lack of achievement by highlighting the lack of signings despite them squeezing in Pulisic and a gazillion loan signings returning to the squad.

So then he had to drop to Everton for his next gig where he did the usual Everton just surviving thing.

So his Star had started to wane. His media mates were quiet. Then suddenly rather than just do a journeyman job at Coventry, he’s doing amazing. GLTTL.

Still irks we were 20 points plus ahead of them and now 20 plus behind but it just goes to show how stability works at this level.
