JayZus! Do you think he can? From what I've seen of Lundstram I don't feel confident. The main thing being that he's incredibly slow. I think if Coutts is out we have a problem because about 90% of our game goes through him. I'd probably go with Carruthers before Lundstram tbh.

Just drop Brooks back a bit and play Sharp or Donaldson.

You think so? You think Brooks is best utilised in a similar role to Coutts do you? Playing just in front of the defence and collecting the ball from them and moving it across the park? I must admit, I don't, not at all. I think Brooks is best utilised in an attacking role, not a deep lying schemer role like Coutts. In my opinion you have to play players where they can best exploit the special skills and talents that they have - and for me, Brooks is all about speed and trickery and willing to run at defences. It would be a complete waste sticking him at the back to process balls out of defence.

MoTM for me again tonight. Always showed for the balk, never gave it away and led from the front.

Got to say that I agree. He shows for every ball from where ever but especially from the back three, he creates space even when there is none to be created (I know, I know) and his range of passes is pure quality. Even the speed and weight of the pass is excellent. Everything goes through him. Bash or Lundstrom have HUGE boots to fill if Coutts isn't playing. My MOTM.

We have understudies/replacements for every other player bar him!

If Coutts is out then Fkeck should cover his position, he is our most versatile midfielder and can dictate from deep if required. Carruthers then comes in as the box to box player. Bash, Lund or Duffy as the 3rd player depending on the situation.

Coutts has got 4 (Derby, Sunderland, Norwich, Wolves) so that's obviously not updated since last night

The concern for me is both being on 4.

A card happy ref in one game and we could be missing both at once, though i suppose it’s only one game.

Not sure they can both get through the next 8 games without a booking, but would be interested to know how many were for fouls rather than discipline.

They'd been getting sand in their vaginas about the ball not quite being in the circle for one of the ten million corners we had in the first half so he as he went to take one late on in the half he placed the ball about a mile out of the circle and waited for them all to go predictably mental before moving it back again.
