Our recent blip has been blamed by many on the loss of Coutts. I think the loss of Freeman/Baldock has been more of the issue.
The defence seriously misses having Basham at the helm and Basham is not as effective as a right wing back. Also when Freeman/Baldock are playing wingback, they have Basham on the overlap. I’ve not seen any of the back three supporting Basham in this way.
For me Lundstram has been good in the role he’s played and can’t be blamed overall.
Equally damaging EB , two important players in the system & also the enforced sideways moving Basham out of back 3 coincided with us shipping goals
