Coutts never gives the ball away? Rubbish

How many said he couldnt play 90 minutes UTB

Surprised we didn't hear from those so called experts on Radio Sheffield questioning Wilder for bringing back Coutts and changing a winning team. Distinctly quiet on that front.

He was still recovering from a serious injury. If that justifies ‘stick’ you were right; otherwise, no.
It’s best not to go through old ground but he clearly lacked effort if nothing else but he put that to bed a long time ago.

Him, along with quite a few others are Premier league standard when they put the effort in needed along with the quality they possess, which let’s be honest, we have some quality ball players from back to front at the moment.

Indeed. Not least Baldock and Stevens who both look remarkedly good footballers.

Who gave him stick under Adkins? Cmon own up .... I did.

What a fool I was.

I probably did at some point, but on the last day of the season, I argued with the fella sat in front of me who was going mental at him. I told him he'd be a very good player with a good manager and he loudly disagreed. I liked him before he was cool I think this makes me a hipster. (I loved Baxter as well mind.)

.......as a dealer or the Beetroot? :)

After Coutts scored the next touch was by a reading player. ;)
Not wanting to be picky but if you watch the highlights I think you'll find that actually it was a Blade touched it first - blatant handball before smacking into the crowd so take back that terrible accusation that Lord Coutts gave the ball away!! :)

You say that as though you are surprised. Have you learned nothing about how Wilder changes the attitude of good players who were playing below themselves?

You have to feel sorry for Lundstram, who himself is a decent looking player. But he must be sat on the bench thinking how the hell am I going to break into the team.

I’m afraid I’ve learned very little.

I still yearn for the return of Nick ‘The Maestro’ Montgomery. Nothing less will suffice...

It will be a long, intense season where we will pick niggles up or Wilder will at some point want to rotate the squad, like he did at Forest so he will get his chance but I do know what you’re saying.

He will be thinking, what a midfield we have and how the fuck am I supposed to get a game? :)

Yes we've noticed. You still love Wierfat.

Lundstram will have known it would be a challenge to get into the side when he signed. Not many could break up the fleck coutts partnership

He’s backed himself to come here and improve which you have to respect. Plus he’s still making appearances and will get his chances through injuries and suspensions.

At least this has allowed him to grow into things and improve his performances without being thrown in at the deep end. Imo he’s improving but still a way off being able to start ahead of either ( time is on his side tho)

Superficially, yes, it’s a shame a talented player is stuck on the bench. But Lundstram is young and still developing, and there’s no better environment for him to learn and improve than under the guidance of Wilder and Knill and playing alongside Coutts, Fleck and Duffy. His chance will come.

Won the ball and started the move for Sharp's goal aswell...something his critics say he can't do...Great strike for the goal.

Injury can limit your performance, yes. It shouldn’t inhibit your effort level. Too many times I thought he ‘hid’ in games. Now he demands the ball, and does something with it more often than not. Confidence and fitness no doubt playing a part.
