i have it a good source that contrary to popular belief the wage bill at SUFC is in fact a little over £8 million, apparently we need that down to around £5 millon.
Now im reliably informed that two players need to be removed to get those figures.
the two in question are ched and hendo, im further informed hendo is on around £17k so work out just how much ched is actually on from that

secondly the slew saga, im under the impression from a different source that slews agent is basically holding the blades to ransom, with slew only having a year left on his contract and threatening to let slew see out his remaining contract till he can sign a pre contract in january and his fee going to tribuneral meaning blades get a nominal fee.

dont shoot the messenger, just relaying what ive been told but i reiterate from very good sources.

Let's hope we don't just stop with those 2. I'd bin those no mater what, together with Simmo, Taylor and Cresswell. Monty, Quinn, Williamson and Morgs should have big contract re negotiations or be moved on. Clearly that's not going to happen with Morgan. It's doubtful much will happen with any of them, as I can't see any other clubs being mugged to the level we have. I expect most to see out their fat contracts and walk at the end of them.

Quinn has signed a 3 year deal. Do we have to sell him?

Monty has been touted as leaving since before we actually got relegated.

Then of course there's the added spice rumour that in theory, they're all up for sale, just depends which players are flavour of the month from other clubs..

My own view is that Hendo and Ched will leave, swiftly followed by Quinn and Monty.

In their place, will be the usual culprits. Names that seem to get banded about from time to time in the lower divisions. Don't forget our manager says we are still a big lure! Yes, of course we are!

I suggest that Monty and Quinn might command a fee and as such this could be reinvested. Also, the management must have realised that their worth relative to what we pay them is not good (even if they earn less than Ched and Hendo)! If they earn less than Ched and Hendo this might make them more attractive to possible suitors...

I agree about the standard of replacements and I am sure we will end up with some right dross and probably quite a few loans. The club still does not grasp the importance of 'gaming' the transfer market.

Dannys No2 will be Barlow, I thought this was common knowledge by now.

In regards to the selling off of player I think our playing staff have been massively overpaid, and like for like replacements could be found for less money in most cases.
Blackpool just stayed in the Premier league with a wage cap of 10K, Monty, Cresswell, Hendo, Morgs, Evans, Simmo, Williamson all would fall outside of that.

All players will have a price , we probably need to sell 3 - 6 dependant on wage levels , but could sell up to 8/9 and provided we replace its no biggy

All clubs change staff, even our trough feeding neighbours are talking 8 to 10 staff changes , minimum, theres some that some want to stay but some well say goodbye to with a wry smile
