It will be 50 years next month since my first match at BDBL. I have never felt so connected as in the last 5.

Well assuming you know how our wage structure is not competitive, and that you're not a bad trenchman or a bedwetter or a knee-jerk artist, then you can pluck a figure from anywhere and it'll be correct. That's called being a true Blade.

Being a true Blade is defiantly stating your desire to continue supporting us after the nth defeat, while non-Blade bandwagon jumpers espouse fair-weather flouncery. But, here's the catch; when a manager wants to leave, you have to ditch everything you learned from the top Blade handbook, proceeding to state your outrage and your intention to switch your support to Sheffield FC instead.

How do you measure how many years it will set us back?

Not guaranteed admittedly but if you take last time we was relegated from the Premiership and we lost our manager its a worrying time.
The way I see it Wilder has made mistakes some big but he knows the players and the players know him and our playing system.
You get a new manager in we basically start again, new playing system they'll like some of the current squad and won't like others, do we have the money to enable the new manager to bring the players he wants in.
You only have to look at Norwich to see have keeping the manager and making a few tweaks can pay dividends.
If Wilder does leave i think we the fans deserve an honest explanation as to the reasons why. I would say about 85% are behind Wilder certainly on here anyway that is a big chunk of our fan base that is going to be pissed off.
The worrying thing about the Prince for me is the couple of warning signs, no news on the new training ground, the fact we didn't sign anyone in January, we basically just chucked the towel in.
Whatever happens I do think we need an honest explanation as to how the relationship between the board and Wilder has broken down especially given the comments made by Jim about Chris not wanting certain player's who have since done well at other clubs.
