If they are to have a fire sale and let's say FF is sold, this could be the domino rally we need to free up a striker.

If he goes to Villa, does that free up Hogan for example?

Chanser is just praying to the Gods above that they somehow, miraculously get promoted this season. Unless Jos creates and maintains a proper siege mentality over 45 games I just don't see how this is possible. He is also unlikely to be sacked as they can't afford the payoff.
In any case their squad lacks balance and depth so most of those players know they are in for one hell of a slog this season.

Yes we'd be giving them money and helping them in that way but the impact he'd have for us, potentially against them in the derby, would outweigh that.
