I was in the gym yesterday I think I heard two doctors talking about a 29 year old professional footballer with a broken tibia , no name mentioned but who else could it be . The consensus was that as breaks go it was an uncomplicated break and 4 to 6 weeks in a cast and return to playing in 4 months. Hope this is correct.

If that's true it'd be amazing and he'd be back just in time for the run-in

Sounds unlikely

I seem to remember a Liverpool player breaking his leg like Couttsy. He was back a few months later and did it again.

Couttsy should take inspiration from Imabra X
Imahibre x
Zlatans recovery. His interview where he said lions heal quickly shows a great attitude. Hope Coutts does an interview saying lions in Blades shirts heal even quicker.
Leon the lion does. One minute he's virtually spark out at Bellend Rd and the next he's closing down like a man possessed. Forged in Steel.

Read on one of the other threads that, because of improved treatment techniques & with them fitting metal pins etc nowadays, it leaves the leg stronger than before. Don't know how true?

Derek French, former blades physio posted on facebook

To all Blades fans Paul Coutts fracture is not terminal he will be back in 6 months ready for the Prem.!!!!

As I mentioned on Shoutbox this morning, I have it on very good authority that Coutts broke both his Tibia AND Fibia, he was operated on yesterday and all went well and he's expected to make a full recovery.
He's had/got the best surgeon and medical care for sure.

Official word is just tibia. Also, what’s a fibia ;)

Would that be the SuperVet? He's red hot at fixing broken legs.
