Is it april 1st on this board today? First Wilder now Alan knill, Mr knill has said just recently he doesn't really like managering, only coaching. Wilder likes both, that's why they do what they do. Please stop posting crap

What's the Wilder stuff mate?

The stuff in the Stir referred to further down?

Yes he could. But he wont.

By his own admition, he prefers being 2nd in command.

There's not been any real thought about this, yet I fear there is a real possibility. The success that our management team has not gone unnoticed, whilst it'd take a ridiculous offer/circumstances for Wilder to leave, I'm not so sure with Knill.

He was a manager in his own right of course, doing very well at Bury, and perhaps he'd fancy returning to a number one position at a lower league club on the back of our achievements.

No-one could blame him of course, and I'm not suggesting we would collapse without him, but I think its something to be wary of and hope that there are back-up plans in place.

UTB!

Stick to talking about Ched Evans

Mr Wilder say's he loves the club and the job so much he's dreading the day he has to leave.

Say in twenty or so years time....:)

Better devil you know .

Wilder and Knill have a couple of things that are missing in football .

It's what you call loyalty and respect . Means a lot and money cannot buy .

Could there be more fundamental problems? - have we have missed the signs of a growing rift that was there from the start?

I mean, look at this picture from just after when Wilder got appointed. Chris warmly draping his arm round Ginge Prestridge's shoulder, but a chilly distance between Wilder and the blue-suited one.

Knill's on his way. We just need to accept it & be grown-up about it.

Gi'o'er. Knill's tickling Wilder's cock.

Pay rise, better personal circumstances (just speculation), and perhaps somewhere else would be a move forward for his managerial career. Would be thoroughly merited. I doubt he wants to stay as a number two for the rest of his life. Not trying to cause negativity, but it is a realistic possibility IMO

Pay rise from Sheff U Assistant Manager to Manager at Bury/Port Vale/Coventry/Swindon at el, i'd be surprised if it was a pay rise, also he appears to be a pretty reserved sort of guy, does he want to be the main man, its not the impression i get.

I think the Wilder / Knill partnership is around to stay.

Has anyone considered what might happen if the turnstile ticket scanners don't work on Sunday?
Or if the food kiosks run out of ketchup? Have they? It could happen...

I've just stood on and broken a pen top. Could there be any effect on the pitch invasion on Sunday? I fear there could be.

Where did Prestridge buy a tie that short?!

Perhaps CW found Robson's old drinks cabinet and decided to have a few. Prestridge is holding him up whilst he gives AK the old "I love you, you're my best mate" speech ;)

I am sure he has said he prefers being an assistant manager/coach. Being the main man in charge isn't for him anymore.

Why would he? His main success has come with our Chrissy. Our Alan's not going anywhere just yet.
Exactly! It's not as though he hasn't been a manager and has a strong desire to be one. He's been there, done that, and decided he's happy to be the number 2. And he's got a good thing going with Wilder. So why on earth would he be remotely tempted to go it alone again?

The way things are going for them down at BDTBL they'll both be there for a long time to come. Nothing to worry about there.

Part of a successful team and club, happy with life, not too far from home, job satisfaction and importantly recognition as well. Trusting relationship with Wilder with whom he's worked with for a while now. Maybe he's realised that being a number 2 is the job which suits him best? Ala Brian Kidd.
He may be ambitious but there is still so much to aim for here with us

If you think Vera Lynn looked good in 1945, you should see her now!

Sheffield woman makes £367 an hour from home and millionaires don't like it.

Why you should never put these ten foods in the fridge.

Knowing what Knill was paid at Bury and the size of his bonus at let alone salary at SUFC he's not going to the lower leagues [unless he's got a 50/50 divorce settlement and wants to be peevish].

Very generous is McC.
