I sat close to the dugouts at the U23 match at Stocksbridge this afternoon and was surprised that their very animated coach never spoke (or shouted since he never actually “spoke”) a single word of English throughout the entire match.
I’d hate it if we ever had a team and coach that only communicated in a language that none of us understand.

The match itself was good, a 1-1 draw. Leeds had at least 6 booked (I lost count, it could have been more) and one sent off, though overall it wasn’t a dirty match. We missed a couple of sitters and hit the post 3 times. They missed a couple of sitters too.

Even the guy, who was filming the game for Leeds, spoke in Spanish or Italian, He was shouting instructions to the Leeds bench. All very strange.
Proper game that. Great advert for the 23s. Well worth a visit.

I chatted to a couple of Leeds fans on the way out. They were quite disappointed that their club is full of non-English players.
