I was gonna start a thread about throw-ins, but I'll pop it here. We look clueless when we get a throw.

Going to agree with you again, nobody was showing for the ball. So often we threw it in the hope of winning a flick on. We should be keeping possession from them.

They were, but the goal against Bournemouth was scrappy and not due to the quality of the delivery. The one against Everton was an own goal.

The goal at Bournemouth started with his quick thinking and perfectly weighted free kick.

The goal at Everton was only possible due to his smashed inswinging delivery , in stark contrast to Everton's earlier efforts from corners.

As for our throw ins we lack a long throw in threat, so we have to always go short.. A Rory Delap type would fit in nicely.

Why wouldn't it, they are as good as corners. I would like the long throw option.

It was a disappointing but expected result today, and there were always going to be some negatives. But, fuck me, our corner kick routines need some serious work and Norwood needs to up his game.

The last corner kick of the first half and first of the second half were atrocious.

If we're going to defend and contain teams in numbers, then our set pieces are going to be our main chance of scoring.

Norwood's deliveries all season from corner kicks on the whole have been woeful. As someone who's been given the captain's armband he needs to be doing better.

Is wilder putting pressure on Norwood been substituted last 2 games ,maybe Lunnie is going to fill that roll he's a better range of passing and can get about the pitch better.
Better athlete a lot younger with a more physical game.
Not saying Norwood is done but Lunnie adds something Norwood cant : physicallity.
