It was a disappointing but expected result today, and there were always going to be some negatives. But, fuck me, our corner kick routines need some serious work and Norwood needs to up his game.

The last corner kick of the first half and first of the second half were atrocious.

If we're going to defend and contain teams in numbers, then our set pieces are going to be our main chance of scoring.

Norwood's deliveries all season from corner kicks on the whole have been woeful. As someone who's been given the captain's armband he needs to be doing better.

I don't know about clueless but there's often a lack of movement from players. It's quite normal for Baldock to be screaming at a striker to come for the ball!

They were, but the goal against Bournemouth was scrappy and not due to the quality of the delivery. The one against Everton was an own goal.

I think our wing backs are so used to have in centre back, a midfielder and a striker to pick out that we've never really worked on them. This season the CBs aren;t getting forward so we're much more limited. I'd like to see us get a long throw going.

Both deliveries into good areas though. I didn’t like the deep back post corners today, I prefer when he drills them just above head height (like the Mina OG) Erickson is amazing at them.

IMO the best corner taker we have had under Wilder is surprisingly Lee Evans.

We often struggle to get the ball into the right area, which I can never really understand.

Bournemouth was a free kick. Norwood rolled it down the line and it was Baldock who put it in

Up against the best central defenders in the league I didn't think we did badly, more concerning to me is that the ref missed 3 corners for us during the match and gave goal kicks instead.

I'm not saying he was the best but David Unsworth took decent corner kicks during our promotion season, and I seem to recall Jon Harley having an impressive delivery too during his first loan spell.

Hit like a feckin missile which comes down off a barely discernable arc to exactly headable height as is arrives between the sticks. If John Tudor / Billy Dearden don't connect , Eddie Colquhoun or John Flynn will.
And they don't need any neck muscles , the momentum comes from Woody's bullet

And Norwood's corner at Everton wasn't a bad interpretation of a Woody corner.
It's the nearest we've come to a goal direct from a corner , which Woody was always close-to , and sometimes achieved.
Norwood & Fleck need to watch some of Woody's corners and practice hard to emulate the maestro

You can’t beat a good whipped, inswinging delivery, it only needs a touch or flick and it has a chance of getting something on target.

It doesn’t matter how tall the opposition defenders are if the delivery is a good one.

Not sure which player delivered it but the little dink onto Stancliffes head for a flick on seemed to work very well, as did the short corner routine whereby the ball was played into feet at the near post, the player turned away from goal then back heeled it to the corner taker who generally had a free run at goal. Cant remember who did it. Possibly Hodges or maybe Borbokis later?
