It's a big fuck off to Coventry and their fuckwit fans. I hope they drop into the non league abyss and lose their stadium!. On a separate note!! Wilder' s swan dive was brilliant!!. The blades are going up

If they don't sort out their ownership and find somewhere else to play we may never play them again.

Shame.

They'll be reyt. Get a loan off co-op like their mates in south Barnsley can't they.

I thought the Coventry team were poor tonight. It wasn't one of those "if they had played like that all season they would be alright" matches, more of a "and that's why they are bottom" match.

Having said that... their fans were respectful and applauded during the remembrance bit. Later they sang some ironic songs. A bit of gesturing at some points. Granted some of the stuff they have written on their forum and ours has been crap, but they don't have a monopoly on writing such, we have dished it back again. Myself included. But does it really rank with some of our real rivalries?

But at the end of the day (and after this evenings win) I hope they sort it out and the club gets back on it's feet. There are many other teams in this division I'll be more sorry to miss once we are promoted.

and to be fair, our South stand fans clapped Coventry off, they tried tonight, but came up short.

Like I have said a lot of times recently. our bench is better than most clubs first choice starters. We showed that again tonight.

They did ok and looked a bit better than their league position suggests but they didn't really trouble us did they.

Fair play to you lot. Typical for Leon to score, the best striker to play for Coventry since being down here in League 1.

Good luck next season.
Keep hold of Mark Robins and you'll steady the ship. He had the team well organised and up for the challenge. Pressed well and restricted our midfield - nullified Duffy, especially and Fleck in the first half.

My lad and I both said before the game that Cov would be difficult to break down as Robbins has done a good job in making the players work more effectively as a team than previous managers this season.

As I've stated before, you're in a downward spiral at the moment. It may last a number of years. God knows we have seen that spiral. It's all cyclical so it will turn around at some stage.

Keep supporting your club.

Had Robins took over when Slade did we would have stayed up.

I don't know what will happen next year, there will be a lot to worry about off the pitch, but with a squad full of young Coventrians and a decent manager we may do well on it.

Cov fan in peace. Well done to you guys. I bear you no ill. The mighty sky blues shall return stronger than ever next year. As mentioned before football can be cyclical. Well I am hoping anyway. Be interesting to see how John Fleck performs for you in the Championship. I think he is a good player but I think the step up may be too much for him. You never know though.

Well said, Monkey Jim. Time to bring the whole Blades/Sky Blues conflict to a close. We are heading in different directions but Coventry played well last night and we've seen many a worse side up at the Lane this season.

I hope you get shut of the Ricoh and SISU before it's too late.

See it's reasonable posts like that which make me feel bad for going in as harshly as I do sometimes. ^^^

Thanks fella. I agree with what you say. For some games this season we have looked as though we can play a bit of football. Think we miss the aggressive type players that can make the difference in this league. How do you think you guys will fair in the championship.

Don't want to sound arrogant, Jim, but from what I've seen of it on Sky TV there seem to be one or two sides that are streets ahead of the rest. I don't think that will be us next season but there should certainly be enough worse teams to keep us reasonably buoyant. We've seen what happened to Wigan so can take nowt for granted, mind.

How about your team in League 2? Last night's side didn't look bad at all but there must be a fear that the best players will be allowed to leave for the benefit of the hedge fund.

Yes funny league the Championship. I think a few careful acquisitions by your manager who I rate by the way I think you will be fine. There does not seem to be a dominant team in the championship. I suspect a mid table placing for you guys next season would not be a bad finish. Then you build on that. As for us I suspect we will sell on anyone who might be worth a few notes and rely heavily on our academy as we have over the last few years. Some good young lads coming through though which is nice to see. Plenty of pace and some good finishers too. I am hopeful but then I was when we were relegated into this league.

Invest in youth, scout the non leagues and pick up the best young lads who have left the academies and played a bit. Coventry have the pull over most teams in L2 so if no financial advantage there is at least that.

As for Fleck, when I watched him play at our place for you I singled him out as a genuine quality player. Having watched him a whole lot more I have a bigger opinion of him now. His touch, strength, vision, and passing ability both long and short say to me he has all the attriburptes to become a top player and international.
With continued hard work and professionalism I have no doubt he will only spend one or two seasons in the championship before going up.
Whether with us I don't know, but I hope so.
