It's gathering pace and going berserk in my in box. GCB@KO whistle, spread the word. Jim Phipps now follows me on twitter aaaaarrrrrggggggghhhhhhhh. I feel like Delia.... Who cares! I wanna hear it load and proud at the KO whistle (start of both halves).

Tweet tweet and retweet the signal is the KO whistle. I don't do Facebook and this was only my 2nd tweet but if the power of social media is all it's cracked up to be we will have a rousing rendition come 4:07 on the 13th April.

Hope it works. It's one thing tgat always dissappoints me at Wembley. The lack of real noise. Always feels a bit artificial.

The Millennium was far better atmosphere......well until we blew it.

I'm hoping the fact there may be less nerves than the play off games will free up yhem voice chords.

Had loads of favourites and reTweets but to honest I am not great at social media so don't know how far message is spreading. Hoping to tweet GarySinclair and get him announcing it at upcoming home games. Just wanna hear GCB rattle the Wembleeeee roof (and maybe score an onion bag full of goals).

Jim's still trying to spread the word for me. Start the GCB when the ref blows for the start of the first half at Wembley SPREAD THE WORD BY TWEETS, EMAIL, FACEBOOK etc I don't use social media so need others to help out.

I'd rather get it over with than start it at the kick off and then concede whilst we're half way through it. That would be embarrassing,

agreed we sing it before KO but everyone is prompted by the first few chords of John Denver. Thereby hangs the problem no common que to start hence we all start on the KO whistle.

Understand your point Foxy, it all sounds and feels a bit Delia esk but have you ever heard a good rendition of GCB at the start at either Wembley or the Millnium games cause I haven't? It's not about supporting united it's about getting our anthem beamed to the players and the watching world.

I don't remember it being all that vacant in '93, might be wrong though, was only young

We've been all over the country without any particular co-ordination and created some great atmospheres, all it takes is enough like-minded people to support like they'd normally do, regardless of those around them and it'll soon catch on throughout the game.

As I say, I'm not knocking you for what you are suggesting happen... I just don't understand why as a fanbase we'd ever need to rely on co-ordination to create an atmosphere.

The players will hear us loud and clear and to be honest I don't care what the watching world thinks.

IIRC, Gary Sinclair was on the Millennium pitch before KO in 2003 and got our fans going.

Think it had something to do with it being very tight and enclosed. Like Blade56 has said the delay of sound reverbreating around Wembley makes it difficult to sing in tune especially our anthem. As much as it might seem manufactured we all need the same starting point. The k.o whistle is the signal.

There was a quite spectacular rendition of the GCB at the Millennium Stadium before kick off. The kind that makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

Infact I distinctly remember looking up at my Dad and he had tears in his eyes.
