Cooper, regardless of how well he plays is at least 1 move (maybe 2) and 5 seasons away from the very slim possibility of an England call up. He didn't play youth internationals and he started at Plymouth, a club that is completely ignored for those purposes. He's never played in the PL and he's still seen as injury prone

He looks like an excellent keeper. But the reason United were able to get him is he's still relatively unknown and ignored outside of L1/lower end Championship circles

Agree with this. I won't go Wednesday levels of adoration, if I remember they pretty much thought Beadle already had Pickfords shirt. Do agree with others too, he's largely untested with us so far and if we get promotion this season that lad better be prepared for an absolute blizzard of footies.

He has however shown to be calm, confident and focussed There's been the odd game where he's had little to do and then had to pull off a decent save or two towards the last 20 mins or so, I somewhat imagine it could be easy to lose concentration when you don't get a shot at you for 70 mins or so. Seems to be up for debate but I like the distribution from him too, he does play out from the like everyone these days but he also seems happy booting up field if there's pressure, not very 'modern' but I like it.

To be honest, like a lot of our past players, he's young, has great potential, just up to him to keep improving...and maybe get some double wide gloves for next season.

With a quick throw he could have released Raksakyi a few times while he was unmarked bombing up the wing wanting it, he didn’t he held it and waited then dropped it to his feet and passed it short, assume he’s been instructed to do this, personally I think he should release it earlier sometimes.

Totally agree - I was screaming for him to throw to JRS - can't understand why he didn't do it - perhaps you're right , CW has prohibited it - if so , that's a poor instruction + I think Coops should ignore it now & again

He’s far better than Forster and in fact quite a few other Premier League keepers. If we don’t go up this year - someone will want to buy him.

How many players though has Wilder signed like Cooper though. He possibly doesn’t get enough credit for these shrewd signings, you can include O’Hare in that too as he’s improving each game.
