In hindsight he's a player I was quite wrong about, but I don't think gambling on Basham instead of waiting for a player we might not get and might have to pay over the odds for was necessarily a bad decision, even if it hasn't worked out as well as we'd like. I mean, it doesn't look great looking at it now, it's just I'd rank a whole lot of other things ahead of it in terms of bollocks dropped.
