Am I the only one that thinks Walker has been crap for most of the season?

He's had a few good games but mostly he's been no better than anyone else. At least now we can get the ball down and play football without worrying about Walker hoofing it the full length of the pitch as soon as he gets it.

You can't be serious?

All I've seen Walker do for most of the season so far is hoof the ball long as soon as he gets it.

Pissed me off no end one week at Bramall Lane when we were playing some great football and every single time Kyle got the ball, without fail, he would just hoof it long and we'd lose possession.

Agree , he wins the ball and he more than anyone else has played long ball.

'No no no he fly's down the wing and put s great balls into the box'-they tell me.
Once last week for his one and only assist. dont forget he is/was our best attacking player!! No he was not.
Oh I forgot it was Blackwell who told him to 'HOOF' So he did it more than anyone.

How come you didn't thank me earlier for saying nowt to do with Spurs? I'm a bit gutted about that!

Mind you - I didn't say get over it. Fair enough.

There'll be alot of fiscal talk and woes in the pre-match hug tonight.

Sorry Mic, only got in and can't be arsed reading through the 563 pages of wrist slitting!

It is a sign of the times at SUFC that I forgot to do a hug watch. Retrospective one but I imagine

"*Sigh* Hey up Malky, yeah I know I'm a bit down, just lost our best attacking threat, last minute yeah I know, Harry rings up at ten past 4 and drops that bomb shell but what can you do? He's sat in the bloody stand tonight, instead I have to play that little midget, get your big man on him hahahaha.Ey well, listen, you're doing a good job down here young man but if you ever fancy joining my coaching staff you will be more than welcome, heres to a good game, all the best, eeeeh Malky, before you go, I'm seeing Cloughie on Saturday, best watch myself on the touchline hahahahahahahaha cya"

What it actually means Bob is that we've paid £750,000 for Ched and over £2,250,000 for the others.

Sorry Len, read my previous reply to you. Answer the questions which you are ducking or give it up as a bad job.
No point going round in circles I'll leave you to your nurse.

Why doesn't it include Taylor but does include Ched when Evans was bought 9 days afterwards? Do you mean excluding Stewart?

For the £2.5M figure to be correct Bromby, Williamson and Taylor would have to have cost £500,000. That's before you add the loan fees for Treacy, Bunn, Davies and Cresswell.

Can you post a link to these figures please?

Cheers

I think we've established a long time ago that you and the accounts don't mix Bob. That said, I really suggest you get a copy and read them long and hard and come back to us. I will try and help with your understanding.

No link.

Did Willo cost money? A knackered, past it, crock. Certainly hope not. If he did, then we are talking about acquisitions post 30 June 2009 (and before publication of the accounts). Taylor and Evans plus Willo. Loan fees will not be included in that figure - I am sure about that, not certain, but pretty sure. The accounts are talking about players acquired - not loaned.

So its Taylor, Evans, Willo and Bromby.
We have figures from multiple sources wiki (I know) and in the press (not confirmed by the clubs obviously) of £400,000 for Taylor and Williamson was £500,000. Bromby (signed 1st July) is also quoted as £250,000 again only in the press nothing from the clubs.

So there is £1.15 million straight away?

With your superior knowledge of the figures where would loan fee's come in on the accounts. With my layman brain I assumed costs of a new player would fall under acquisitions. If not where else it is listed in these figures that you have?

Did we sign Bromby in July 2009? Seriously? And let him go to Leeds in same window? seriously I can't remember what happened.

Post Balance Sheet events Bob - 1 July 2009 to publication of the accounts in November 2009.

Loan fees between 1 July 2008 and 30 June 2009 would just be reflected in admin costs in my opinion.

Must stress Bob - all I am doing is reading the accounts and trying to interpret them which is nearly impossible

No idea what you asked.
Are we going to get the full £3m back when he goes on a free?

Possibly but we wont get is wages back and he wont get the money he paid out for that bunch of flowers to cheer you up.
