No-one seems to know the terms of the original deal hence the problem. The bottom line is season long - can't be recalled.

It's still baffling, if the only reason we didn't get Kyle N back was wages then surely if Kyle W was going back this wouldn't have been a problem ? I still also find it hard to believe that Arry would let experienced international Hutton go out on loan and replace him with Kyle W who was considered behind Kyle N in the pecking order. I guess all will out tomorrow.

It does to me too.

What I cannot understand is that if part of the deal for the Kyles to sign for Spurs was that we get Walker back on a season long loan, how can he be recalled now?

That just baffles me. And, worryingly, has the Pieman's crumb covered fingers all over it.

Only repeating what some of the Spurs fans on 606 are saying, but they reckon twitchy 'arry is using injuries as an excuse to cancel the loan.

He can hardly use injuries as a reason to recall a right back having released two earlier in the same day. Mind you..........

I was under the impression it was only a 6 month loan to begin with? Then it would be reviewed in January and then they'd renew it with Spurs. I remember all the rumours about it a couple of month ago.

Harry's probably seen how much football we're playing and decided to get him back :p

The OS seemed to think we had him on a season long loan.

Little and Walker in

United have wrapped up the signatures of Glen Little and Kyle Walker.

Experienced winger Little, 33, has agreed a one year deal with the club after a successful trial period.

He has spent the whole of pre-season with the Blades, including trips to Malta and Hungary, after being released by Reading in May.

The former Burnley and Portsmouth wideman also scored in the 2-0 victory over Lincoln City in the last pre-season friendly.

Walker, meanwhile, returns on a season-long loan after agreeing a summer move to Tottenham Hotspur alongside Kyle Naughton.

Sheffield-born Walker, 19, has spent the summer with England's U19s in the UEFA European Championships, where the young Three Lions finished runners-up to hosts Ukraine.

Both Little and Walker are expected to go straight into United's squad for Friday's Championship opener at Middlesbrough.

Spurs site also had it a season long loan. Don't tell me we've cocked another transfer deal up!!!

Kyle Walker has joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan deal.

The England Under-19 defender joined us from the Championship club last month but will now return to Bramall Lane where he appeared on seven occasions last term.

what's Kyles thoughts sharra?

I spoke to him an hour ago and the lad is gutted, truly gutted, he wanted to stay as he will just be back up at Spurs. But what he did say is he will do everything he can to be back on loan with us.

cheers sharra. Top lad Kyle!

who's going to do all the attacking now our first choice full back has gone?!

So the story is

Both clubs say at beginning of season saying season long loan(see post earlier...so if not true both clubs have omitted to mention a recall clause...if one is allowe !!)
Kyle on way to Watford
Gets call from Harry saying come back to Spurs. So he has to get off the coach(surely he would either go straight to Watford then on to London ). Has the coach really gone down today ?? Surely they would go down in the morning.
He phones 'Sharra' (who she just 'knows ' rather than a close mate by the sounds of it)to say I'm going back to Spurs before ANY club announces it....and AFTER the deadline for Premiership clubs.
Then(if you read the thread),he is gutted and will try and persuade Harry to loan him back to United !!!

mmmm

If it was an initial 6month deal, could it be we cant sign him until the loan window re-opens so he i covered for the play offs.

If it was a year long loan(again as was confirmed by BOTH clubs) the registration is with is unless the player is sold isn't it ?

Source....source....source. I have been on spurs website, uniteds website, skysports news, bbc news, guardian news....nothing....comeon, stop scaremongering and produce evidence please

It's on the Fortean Times website mate - between Princess Diana and Roswell.... ;)

This hasn't initially come from sharra, bartman.

A number of posters have endorsed the info.

Sharra came in at the end of the thread. he knows KW and has spoke to him.

Go read the entire thread on bladesmad and form your opinion.

The proof will be in the pudding when the team news is announced tomorrow

Until then, we'll wait and see eh?

It may be true(i tend not to believe anything until it is 'official) but it is not the wrist sslashing news that some of those on that sigte are making out. As far as I can see,3 have 'confirmed' it's true and the rest are jumping off the cliff at the thought of it.

Geary can play right back,2 good signings today, one last week, plus seip, loan window opens in a week..we'll miss him if he does go but it isn't a disaster.

Makes you wonder doesn't it? There were some rumours going around that 'Arry wouldn't let Naughton come back here because of the (non) style of football we play. If this is true, maybe 'Arry's exploiting some loophole to get Walker back cos he doesn't think he's developing as he should be doing?

Yeah, Harry is right. Walker should be developing like Naughton has been by sitting on the bench for half a season playing no football whatsoever.

What an absolute arsehole.

Spurs don't play until Saturday Evening, they shift two fullbacks out on Transfer deadline day.

Every bit of media i've read says season long loan, he got dropped off on the bus on the way down to Watford.

No news of it anywhere except two people in the know on another site say its true because they spoke to him

Sounds very much like a wind up

That's bollocks, the Naughton deal was about who would pay his wages.

If he was so intent on his players going to to "footballing" sides then why 'Boro? They don't play wide expansive football. Neither do QPR who've got other loan players. It's just another chance to knock the club and the management by knownothing fans.

Looks like this is true. Seems like a recurring theme this, losing Walker in a dramatic, cruel and unforseen manner.

Don't get arsey with me pal. I'm only speculating on what I heard elsewhere, probably on here.

.........Losing Walker takes a lot away from our attacking play as well.

He doesn't take alot away Cooper, he takes it all away.

So basically you are saying that Kyle Walker is our only attacking player? Really? So none of the midfield count? None of the goalscorers this season count? How many goals this season has Kyle Walker scored out of our 39 league goals? Why, of course, it's none. Zero. So much of an attacking player is Kyle Walker that he hasn't scored a single goal this season. His assists this season so far are higher than his goals scored though. He's got one assist. A whole one. Monty has got two. Stephen Quinn has got five. So that kind of blows that theory out of the water. Unless you can argue that he offers more attacking options by not scoring. In which case then so do I, and I am crap.

This isn't to take anything away from him as a defender - he's good, with the potential to become very good indeed. It's a shame it won't be for us, but there you go. What he isn't though is our best attacking player. Not by a long, long way.

nothing mentioned on Radio Sheffield at 7.20am. They usually pick up on rumours on Forums and try and find out what is happening. Also still nothing on the Sky sports website or on the Sheffield Star website

reported in the daily mirror this morning... tabloid talk i know, but its been linked us with nosworthy for the last 2 weeks...

Don't kid yer sen SV just to have a pop at my choice of words. The kid was the only player who could make a difference. Pace to burn, could get round the back and cause mayhem. KB relied massively on him to provide width and he scared defenders. He's got a couple of penalties hasn't he and an assist against Reading that I can recall off the top. You can't be saying Monty contributes more than Walker.

I think that's probably the clearest sign so far, as you say, they would have been onto it like a shot.

I'd disagree with that, I think Radio Sheffield are incredibly slow to pick up on what the fans are talking about sometimes. I'd guess a lot of football journalists had a 'long' day yesterday and had all finished by the time the Walker news started to break.

Plenty of stuff gets reported as fact on forums when it's complete rubbish but this just seems different. I'd love to be wrong.

I don't know, rumours breaking during the day generally get a mention in that day's FH although I appreciate that the news broke late yesterday. I'd be amazed though if they haven't been onto the club this morning.

I think the only reason people are worried is that there are supposedly 'ITK's' all barking the same news. The only 'fact' we know is that it's a season long loan (reported on both official sites) and if that's the case he can't be recalled. All Spurs other deals are on their OS so why no mention of Walker going back ?

What we actually need right now is a bit of team news for tonight. That will tell us one way or the other.

This is not BU, so if anyone hears owt..........................

Au contraire, Jim Chimmerney. It's not "fact".

You've said on a number of occasions it's not a season long loan. If it isn't, why was it reported as such and why does every single media organisation refer to it as such, and why do both clubs say it's a season long loan?

I'm genuinely curious. Assuming you are right, why are both clubs lying to the press (and possibly the leagues, given that's where some news orgs get their transfer data from)? What do they have to gain?

Its true.... Just confirmed by SUFC on text

Apologies for doubting the rumours
