[CONFIRMED] Nigel Clough signs a 2 and a half year contract

Burley had a great track record at Ipswich and then Hearts. Not really been employed since and you have to question why, as per Coop's intimation.

Hopefully he will be looking for someone is who an effective football manager that knows their way around the lower divisions and player development rather than a so called celebrity.

Clough reminds me of Moyes, steady hand on the tiller, but what have they ever really achieved? I was amazed when Moyes got the Man Ure job, he did what you would expect at Everton but no more. Martinez achieved more at lowly Wigan, at least he has a cup winners medal.

I don't see Clough as the man to regroup and inspire our useless shower.

What hopes are being dashed? If you remove your blinkers and search Pinchy, you'll notice I haven't ever made a call for a return to Warnock, or for Pulis. My argument about that has always been about your assertion that only one style of football working, which was bollocks before and has been demsonstrated to be bollocks again.

I'm happy for us to change style any way. I just want us to win and progress, that's all.

Your thirst for style over content is now the stuff of comedy legend.

he is top manager just look what he did at Derby before he got sacked unfairly.
 
Clough has done nothing in 5 years to suggest he can do anything with us. Or even save us from relegation.

To be fair they were 13 points clear at the top when he left for Derby and did get promoted that season. I'd class that as two promotions.

I could have confirmed it some time ago, but in my experience, it's better to wait until you've seen the man in person on the day in question, before the "[CONFIRMED]" comes out....
