We won't have any players left soon, in the past month or so we have lost:

Westlake
Williams
White
Taylor
King
McGinty
Bunn
Lappin
McFadzean

There is also talk of Brandy and Cuvelier going out on loan

I make our current first team squad

GK: Long, Howard

Def Maguire. Hill, Collins. McMahon, Kennedy

MF Flynn, Doyle, McGinn, Cuvelier, Coady, Brandy, Whitehouse, Johns

F Porter, Baxter, Miller, Murphy, Ironside, de Girolamo

Not much room for error there and a complete lack of defensive cover....

Lol 5 defenders including one who has only played one first team game and has suffered with bad injuries

With the possible exception of Taylor, NC has chosen well. After a couple of weeks he said the squad was far too big and probably has to create "headroom" in the budget before bringing in new faces.

As for Taylor, I think he may be a bit "too big for his boots" and needs to mature. Same goes for Brandy probably but I hope he stays and develops under the new management team, he certainly has skills. I wonder whether Cuvelier just deserves a chance or two and could flourish, perhaps we'll never know.

White might be back one day but I think he did OK that's all.

Coady is probably earmarked as emergency defensive cover as well.

To be honest Westlake/McGinty/Williams might make a suitable back-up if you moulded all their best features together.

The 18 man squad virtually picks itself now

Long

McMahon
Maguire
Collins
Hill

Flynn
Doyle
McGinn
Murphy

Baxter
Porter

Subs: Howard, Kennedy, Cuvelier, Brandy, Coady, Miller and either Whitehouse or Ironside. De Girolamo is still not fit and Johns is crap.

Short-term loans usually have a call-back option so if needs be we could recall McGinty/Westlake? I think it's for the best, most of these players were not contributing and if Clough works best with a small but well-knit group then hopefully we'll see the team build some momentum. We can hope for 2-3 incomings which makes the squad look more comfortable in any case.

Also, I though McFadzean was back from his loan now?

Another two who are not really getting a game & could probably be moved on at the end of the season.

Them leaving leaves room for more incomings & chances for the likes of Kennedy & Calvert Lewin to impress.

Well done Mr Clough.

Impressive start behind the scenes

I see McGinty was back in the U21's today. Saw him at Bradford and he looked shocking, but any good?

How things have changed!

Jesus wept,we had some shyte.
You can add napolean to that list too.

My word. No comment from me on the abilities of those moved out, but so far as achieving the object of getting the wage bill down, top marks to the manager; also for the replacements he has brought in. A quick slick mover is our Nigel.
