no i didn't blame the players at all and I slightly blamed the manager by saying if this doesn't work then we should never try a untried manager again which I believe is not blaming the manager until he's sacked.

From my mate Billy an Everton fan......

He was thought of in the same way as Rooney believe it or not. Scored a few cracking goals in friendly games but didn't get the breaks for us. I recall him going off the rails a bit, but he's deffo got it in him and Weir will be the man who can get it out of him.

You've not had the best of starts under him, but keep with him, he will come good

There was an article on the BBC about him just before he signed for Oldham last year. His name certainly stuck in my mind and myself a few lads at work followed his progress at Oldham. It's refreshing to see a lad wanting to play football rather than sitting it out and taking the money.
