He's been mates of McDonald for years apparently, Nick Blackman too, according to his interview with Radio Sheffield. Also says he turned down some Championship clubs to sign for us.

He also says David Weir "and John Stephenson" have great plans for the club. Got to admit, had to look up who he is, must have missed his appointment as Director of Football Operations. I'm presuming he has a large say on transfers now?

I only noticed he existed through playing football manager. Where he is listed af Director of Football. Until then i'd never even heard of him. We kept him quiet didn't we.

McGinn, McGinty, McDonald, McMahon, McFadzean and Maguire. Are we trying to confuse opposition scouts or something?

"Its been a pleasure to of been at walsall and I am grateful. I'm now raring to go with sheffield united and help this club win promotion :-)"

Just wait until Pinchy sees his tweet.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I was quite excited at the prospect of the forthcoming season. New manager and all that. Today I was delighted to see recruitment suggesting the "New Model" is actually going to be more than mere words. So far, so very good.

BUT then I see this. I'm devastated. Weir is a charlatan; a fraud. There he is - smart suit, articulate and ambitious, or so we thought! But what does he do? His very first signing uses a preposition where there should be a verb! Disgraceful! Mr. Where should hang his head in shame.

As for this vagabond Brandy. assuming David Where does not dismiss him immediately for gross grammatical misconduct, as he should: The first time he leaves the whole of the opposition dizzy with his skills and embarrassed by his pace, beats four defenders and nutmegs the goalie with ease before back-heeling the ball into the empty net; I shall ignore the massed ranks celebrating wildly around me, rise to my feet and declare: "That's all very well Brandy, you twat, now piss off and don't come back until you've learned how to use an auxiliary verb with a predicate adjective.......you cunt."

I shall expect the full support of my fellow Blades.

To be honest I'm a bit underwhelmed by all these signings. Players who have been binned off by someone else, why does anyone seem to think they will be any good for us.

We will be in League 2 this time next year at this rate, mark my words

From wikiwoo; Febian Brandy;

On 28 February 2011, after unsuccessful trials with Leicester City[14] and Preston North End,[15] Brandy signed for Notts County until the end of the 2010–11 season.[16] Brandy made four appearances for the club but he was released at the end of that season when his contract was not renewed.[17]
Brandy spent more than six months as a free agent until, in January 2012, he joined Greek Superleague club Panetolikos on a free transfer,[18] but left the club without appearing for the first-team. After leaving Panetolikos, Brandy says the club didn't pay his wages since his move.[19]

Bit worrying that summary. Hope DW can get this young fella back on track. His early career held so much promise. Has he gone off the rails?

HH

He played in the first team for Walsall most of last season and by all accounts did quite well. I'd say he was already back on track. He obviously isn't much of a goalscorer though. It may well be that he ends up on the wing, which wont be a bad thing if Murphy gets to play as a striker. It would be nice if we signed a genuine out and out goalscorer too though.

I'm sure DW will recruit a centre-forward before the big kick-off. I think he'll go for 4-4-2 with two strikers. We haven't got anyone good enough to play the 'number 9' role on the books at the moment.

I see Brandy as playing wide but with licence to express himself in the final third.
