[Confirmed] Barry Robson

I remember an aging Scottish midfielder people originally said was too old, who was 3 or 4 years older when he joined us. He recently put a word in and helped the signing of Murphy.

well obviously he's old and slow, otherwise we wouldnt be signing him. he'd of got poached from under our noses by rotherham. oops im sposed to be optimistic. umm. christ the guys 34 and he's not good enough for the sodding vancouver tripecats. whats to be optimistic about? juan last-payday mark 762.
 
Robson can pal up with Kitson they can talk about the good old days and see who can toss it off the best in training.

I remember him. He was twice the player Barry Robson is and had Michael Brown playing next to him, so that's not really any guide to how Robson will do.

Anyway, good luck to him - let's hope this signing pans out.
 
I work in Boro (for my sins right next to their souless ground) My colleagues were really excited when I asked his name as they thought he was coming back to Boro. They were gutted to find out he was going to us. He was their player of the season last year they told me. He sounds more like quinny than Doyle and they said if you give him free reign he can be devastating. This is for a team near the top of the Championship that would have welcomed him to their team it sounds like a good signing to me we've missed someone with quinny's industry.

On the whole he hasnt been the worse player so far this season. Not pulling many trees up mind.

Shame we cant just bring him on to take free kicks
 
I wonder what the obsession is with Scottish players all of a sudden? Maybe McCabe thinks he can learn something from their miserly ways ;)
