Wasn't there alas but from commentary sounds like the whole team were up for it. The debut boys energised the whole side and Billy always gives his all. We were lacking creativity and energy. Now we have it. And already you can see the affect on other players like Osborn and Fleck. The start of another special journey. It'll be interesting to see the affect on players like Brewster and McBurnie.

It certainly feels like a turning point and the start of a new journey for the Blades. Amazing how a couple of new players can energize everybody. Definitely the old John (and not Jimmy) Fleck back today

The frustrating thing is that is has been absolutely obvious for so long that we needed to change it around through formation change and with new players.

The signs were there when we finished off the season just after lockdown. It needed a plan b and freshening up, we didn't do it. Still, what's done is done. And today is a the start of the comeback. Only 1 game but I really feel that we can start to really click.

Amazing debut from Johnny Fleck today. Much better than his two brothers Jimmy and John.

Yes, tbf I had written off Fleck. Maybe prematurely. The midfield was the problem, too flat. Look at the squad we have now with Olsen to come in goal and Davies in instead of Robinson. There's competition for places. Once you get into a winning mentality you're half way there.

I think the international break came at a very good time for us . Gave Slav a good stretch of time to work with the squad and some of the new signings without the pressure of a game . Everyone to a man looked rejuvenated today and looked like they all knew what was required and what to do ! Massive praise to everyone concerned and a praise to us fans ! It was like the old Lane today and was bloody brilliant!! Have to admit to being a little unsure when I saw the line up though !! Enjoy your evening and as ever UTB !

What gives me hope is the fact we still have Moose, Berge and Didsy to comeback.

Slav has options now. With new faces in the squad you can tell its given the rest of the squad a kick up the arse.

For large parts of the game we played some brilliant football and reminded me of the Fulham side Slav managed when they beat us 5-4. This is what happens when Slav gets some of his players through the door and a bit of time with the players. Fantastic today and lets hope we can kick on now. Shame Wilder didn't take Robinson with him when he left.

Ndiayi and Gibbs-White were like a breath of fresh air today. Their unshackled, positive attitude made me realise just how traumatised our younger, attacking players have been reduced to after a year of inept tactics, managerial unrest and getting their arse handed to them week in/week out.

I hope their influence can rub off on Berge and Brewster. Either of them would've loved to have been on a pitch with them today.
