Going in strong;

Yes the celebrations from the players and the management after the match were a bit OTT yesterday.

I think we needed something to celebrate to breath a bit of life back into the club. Yesterday was it. Maybe a bit OTT, maybe essential.

Nailed it!

Fabulous post. Thank you
Don’t disagree as such, we are reticent to change and play into the “Pashun” mentality but the whole post can be simplified to Money.

The whole 10 year reset thing is a bit of a red herring tbf - without money it’s a paper exercise.

Youth facilities = money
Scouting Infrastructure = money
Improve football operations = money
Modernise Club = money
Director of Football = money
Ambition = money

Those breaking or broken into the top flight, or on a improving trajectory:
Man City, Bournemouth, Brighton, Birmingham, Wrexham, Forest etc….. Money. Money. Money.

You can have the grandest ambitions and most sound strategic approach, but it’s folly without cold hard cash to back it up.

Blades fans have, by and large, slipped down to the level of Reading when it comes to raucous, passionate support.

I think this is fair. I genuinely believe Bramall Lane had one of the best atmospheres in the country until a few years ago. It's now really, really bad. Most other grounds have got worse admittedly, but we generally now seem to be viewed as a quiet home support by fans of other clubs.

Come on, we're not that bad. Our home atmosphere isn't anything special, but you can say the same for 99% of grounds in this country.

We will never be more than a provincial second tier club because our fans value Bladey Bladeyness over progress.

Every time in the last decade we've ditched bladey bladeness we've gone backwards, so it's not surprising really.

How about the manner in which we lost?
Spot on, no one wins every game, but the poor level of performances that has revealed itself over the past few games is alarming.
Was at Hillsborough last night, second half they fought for everything and deserved to win, even though they have nothing to play for. Young guys giving their all, whereas all I hear is that we look tired and need a rest.
Not sure about CW, but if he can't motivate them in the next 9 games and show some tactical nouse, I think we need a plan b for if/when he goes.
Sad to say it, but there have been so many games we should have won, [Norwich, QPR, WBA, at home,, Charlton, Preston, Wrexham, away], and so many we should not have lost [1 of Coventry or Middlesbrough at home, Hull, Southampton, Norwich, WBA, away]

Forget about the first 5 games, the points lost in these games alone would have got us into the play offs. One consistent is our utter inconsistency, added to poor fitness levels and inability to make changes to the team or tactics mid game.
Seen some great games November to January, with plenty of goals, beyond that its been fairly poor, with the odd fortunate exceptions [Portsmouth, QPR].

YES CW might get us into the top 8, but not playing 1 up top and side to side. Personally he's got until Christmas for me!

Gary Sinclair or whoever is in charge of the PA system ruined the Derby celebrations by playing songs we've adapted into chants too loudly and for too long when we could and would have generated a far better repertoire of chants organically without being prompted and played over.

THE most significant derby result of all time and we're having it dictated to us what we can sing? We don't need it.

Also the photos took too long and took the immediate joy out of it all whilst we all stood around waiting for every member of staff to join in when we only care about those players and management. Again it's concocted celebrations and took the spontaneity and joy out of it by sapping the energy.

And don't get me started on how long clapping the kop takes after games.

I have more but I'd best stop here...😬

I'd rather a line be drawn under Wilder before it goes t*ts up and he gets chanted out by the kop.

16 - 20 was his legacy period. This current tenure will only end one way.
