Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere or if the table below doesn't line up properly.
Here is part of the league table from 2005/6 season after 16 games the last time we were promoted to the topflight:
PL W D L PTS
1. Sheff U 16 12 2 2 38
2. Reading 16 10 5 1 35
3. Luton 16 8 4 4 28
And here is now:
P W D L Pts
1 Wolves 16 11 2 3 35
2 Sheff U 16 11 0 5 33
3 Cardiff 16 9 4 3 31
makes for encouraging reading, no?
Still a long way to go of course, but we are on course at present, though 5 points worse off than that season that we ended up 2nd with 90 points. In someways this team doesn't feel as good as that one but who knows, Leon Clarke might be the Shipperly for us and we need Brookes to be our Danny Webber. UTB
